So, as some of you may know(Rydian especially), I've been asking stuff about PSP and modding it. So, after little research, I discovered that you can check whether a PSP is hackable via the date code on the sticker behind the battery. Well, I looked there, but I didn't have a date code on it. Does it mean my PSP is hackable + CFW when a downgrader is available?

Other information that I forgot:

PSP was bought around 2007.
2001 PSP.

i am assuming this is a 2000? if so you wont know if its a hackable board unless you make a pandora and a magic memory stick (afaik). if you put a pandora + mms it wont load up on a hackable motherboard (it will go into service mode, it just wont load the mms).

Updated info.

And yes, I have a PSP 2000. I'll try to get a Pandora Battery, but I doubt I'll be able to. My parents probably won't purchase it.

You can try with any HEN, then using PSPident wich will give info about your psp hardware including the mobo. If you're already on a HEN then just ge the app put it in GAMES folder and just run the thing like any other homebrew/game.

PSPident crashes after loading some codenames. They don't tell me any of the important details.

im almost certain if its a 2007 psp it is hackable. i dont think unhackables came out until mid 2008

That's the thing. I want to be certain that my PSP is hackable, I don't want to royally screw myself over with bricking my PSP.

Look on the bottom of your psp on the barcode. There should be a code that ends with PSP2001. If it doesn't start with AB02, it's about a 99% chance it's hackable.

The PSP 2000 was launched in the US in September 2007...are you positive you bought it when the Slim was brand new tech?

I'm 90% positive. Also, if it helps, the copyright date in the manual is 2007.

The thing is, AB02 would indicate a TA-088v3 so i can't see how you can possibly be correct. Also that manual date isn't a good source of date info.

The slim was launched in late 2007....those console would definitely not have that code.

Mine was bought in 2007, and admittedly whilst European, is a TA-085 which came on 3.60. It's code is HB02. (just checked)

When you say code, do you mean the number at the bottom of the the PSP or behind the battery?
