Hi there,

So, I'm not asking a stupid question I hope so.
First off, I know what is Homebrew Channel, I know what's Preloader, I know what's softmii, I know whats bootmii, and I know cIOS, and more stuff. =p

Now I've a Wii, with version 3.2E, installed Homebrew Channel, and some wads. (internet channel and another thing i cant remember now)

Well, I want to upgrade to 4.0E, since some wads wont work, on this version (stupid enough it's not the region)

And besides that, I like to use a 4GB SD, and the SD Menu.

So now, I'm thinking... there's bootmii, there's preloader... there's homebrew channel..

WHAT DO I DO NEXT. XD

I was thinking about the following:

1) Install preloader on my Wii.
2) Install bootmii on my Wii.
3) Manually update to 4.0E, like there was a wonderful guide here... but I can't find it anymore.. =O
4) I want to play wad's, backups, and run homebrew.. So that would be installing cIOs and more stuff about then..

My question, is this order correct? should I skip something? Or add something? Another order?

Thanks for your advice. =D

If Bootmii will install as boot2 then unless you specifically want any of the preloader features other than brick protection, don't bother with preloader.

If it will only install as ios, then definitely install preloader.

3) Downgrade to 3.2 using cIOS Downgrader even if you are already on 3.2 run this

So I'm on 3.1E? Still do that? =P

4) Run the 4.0 Updater

http://www.teknoconsolas.tv/wanin/Firmware-Updater_4.0.zip

5) Run the IOS60 updater
say NO to install IOS61
say YES to install IOS60
say YES to patch IOS60
say NO to install the shop channel

6) It is highly recommended that you install preloader to prevent bricks. On the install screen press 1 i skip this (bootmii)

Install CIOS10 from Waninkoko, upgrade to 4.0 through Nintendo, then do

5) Run the IOS60 updater
say NO to install IOS61
say YES to install IOS60
say YES to patch IOS60
say NO to install the shop channel

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PN6WIJRI

That.

It doesn't need to be any more complicated than this. You'll then be able to run the USB loaders etc and use the SD facilities of 4.0.
