Nowhere in my post did I say I support his take on the matter.

I'm just stating some damned reason.

It's unreasonable to assume that a thread is trolling solely because the OP did not respond within half an hour.

If look at handheld gaming sells and the way the price increases for Ninty and Sony, the 3DS should not have gone over $200. Ninty has almost always tried to undercut the competition. But they aren't cheating really since the system they provide are essentially less powerful and don't require expensive parts.

haha another out of body experience here, let me show you to your room my good sir http://gbatemp.net/t303285-i-now-know-what...p;#entry3805568

EDIT 1

On topic, those 20 games are a gift for early buyers nintendo could easily not have lift a finger.. and i still read here n there "*whine* *grin* i want chose my games, i want, i want moawrrr" It ain't even about fair or unfair stuff, life is fair, people are unfair, that's how it goes.. The hell, make a decision, be a god damn adult about it and suck it up to the bitter end! now you get even free stuff while you was entitled to NOTHING! You, yourself was making the choice, for YOU, YOURSELF (again) to pay full price for this new system and still complain, when you get free stuff ahh.. seizure inducing people!! lol sorry, my rant is done now.. i calm down and go take a break in the lil dude blog k

Edit 2

Alright, im quiet now.. i know not many adults round here but seesh, how will you do in the future? when you make a decision you take full responsibility on your actions, nuff said

I was an early buyer paid $278 tax included at my local walmart.... And its fair for early adaptors to get the 20 free games since they purchased the 3ds at full price.... So i would think that people who pay $170 dollars for the 3ds shouldnt get the 20 free games especially since they paid less for the handheld. Im pretty sure the people who payed the full price deserves it. And Hey Steve buy a 3ds now if u want those 20 free games... If not then stop being a troll cause one your already getting 10 free games if u purchase it after august 12.

Let your voice be heard the more people calls in the better

You know the price is gonna drop right then the people that bought the system and pay big as well gotten 20 games free

It should be for all buyer's not just the people that bought it long ago

Just call in tell them you are saying its unfair to the new buyer's on the 12th of aug. )

( 1-800- 255 -3700 ) call the more the better it might happen .

1 person can't do this alone the more the better for all the new buyer's as well

I'm sorry, did you pay $80 more? If not, please GTFO and enjoy your price cut.

i have to agree with everyone here except the one who posted this topic i think it 100% fair for those who paid full price on the 3ds to get something back and im glad i paid full price for it and topic poster enjoy your price cut

the games aren't free, they cost $80. if you want them buy a 3ds before august 12, and you can get the special $250 3ds bundle which includes the 20 games.

Look, dude I am sorry if schools are teaching you students that everything should be fair, but the fact is nothing is fair for everyone.

Look at it this way, why couldn't you just buy the Nintendo 3DS, and with the extra money you buy the games. It is basically the samething as buying the Nintendo 3DS before and getting them for free.

I hate schools these days. They teach kids wrong.

Nope, everyone who bought it and connected online before the 11th of August get the 20 free games.

Guys, stop quoting all of the OP

Yeah okay, that's what I originally heard as well, but now in a few threads I've seen people saying everyone will get 10 (and we early adopters get 20 ofcourse), that's why I was wondering

They are most likely referring to the 10 announced games, which are still only for pre-August 11th 3DS'

UK folk take note - GAME have dropped their 3DS prices to £130. Some might not be advertising yet; the store I work in isn't as the till system hasn't been updated with the right price yet. Don't be put off by pre-owned though, all the ones we have (and I think we have about 10 or 12 pre-owned systems) are virtually mint. They have had almost no play time at all. Presumably early adopters put off by lack of games post-launch.

Basically, grab a pre-owned one while they're still ones that are in great nick and get it for the same price as mint ones will be after the price drop. Register online and still get your 20 free games. Win-win.

Plus, GAME stores will want to kiss you for buying a pre-owned piece of hardware. They would prefer you to buy it over a new one. So do yourself and us a favour.

Calling Nintendo isn't going to do anything. "Unsolicited ideas are not accepted" is their mantra, remember? The only thing that matters to them is money, despite what you might think. Money speaks much louder than words ever could. They weren't getting sales, so they dropped the price to try and boost sales. No amount of people complaining and whining about the high price caused them to drop the price, only the lack of sales did.

If you ask me, one of Nintendo's (and many other companies for that matter) biggest failings is that they never listen to their fanbase and just do what they want and HOPE you buy into whatever they come up with. Think...how many times have you heard someone request another new 2D Metroid? Have we ever gotten one? Nope. And that's just ONE of many examples of their failure to listen to the fanbase.

They don't listen to anything but sales figures. THAT'S the problem. I think that if they payed a little more attention to what the general fanbase has been trying to tell them, and maybe if they actually ASKED us what we want sometimes, they would have a lot more success and could avoid potentially devastating situations like they are in right now.

Excellent assessment of the issue Raydar, companies only listen to their bottom lines. I hope Sony takes note of this(though that is wishful thinking).

I just laughed at that comment.

Look, there was only one incident when someone called a company complaining, and they got a gift card. But, these companies aren't really going to give a darn if you call them. They can just block your from their phones. Just deal with it. If you are unhappy with it, just don't use it anymore if you think it is not worth the darn.
