Hey guyz..

I think if I decide to buy a new flash cart I will probably buy the cyclo.

But I would be so happy if I get this r4 repaired though I highly doubt that..

Again what is your opinion guyz..
Which is the best flash cart available right now..

I want to choose between

1) r4ds (again)
2) cyclo
3) ds-xtreme

DONT BUY DS-X you know how f'ing expensive that is? and worse than r4 or cyclo

Try to fix the r4 if possible... then decide.

He also stays in india. I trust him

I wanted to know from the gbatemp community if this is fixable.

Also does anyone find any other problem with my r4 other than the chip thingy.

put some solder on the points and use a heatgun to fix that piece in place again.

also looks like somone changed the language on your r4, lol

i think super glue is not an option

maybe you can solder it ... with caution

use something to keep the board in place without the need to maintain it when soldering as you'll need you're both hands
use tweezers to hold the small resistor in you're hand as you'll have to be fast

use you're iron to heat the board where the part is missing and put some solder if needed

then while the solder is still liquid put the circuit back in place and maintain it until the solder is solid

that may fix the R4 , anyway try to fix it before buying a new device you have nothing to lose

The part that came off on your R4DS, doesn't look like anything in the GBATemp review picture...

I've never opened up my R4DS. (Never had too) So I don't know too much about its insides...

First of all, try to limit yourself to one question mark per sentence.

Try using electrical tape to hold the chip against its connectors on the board. Chances are that it wasn't working before because the connection was loose, and you just didn't notice that until it came off completely.
