Both send incriminating info if it isn't a legit backup I thought?
We don't know if they don't send different sets of info. Its just that Nintendo cannot realistically cross-check you bought or illegally acquired a .XCI based game but they can with a .NSP

is there sigpatches ?

Can someone point me on how to run NSP files using reinx?

here quick upload
unlike the others this one includes the hbmenu.nro in the root of sd
instructions:
1. place files in the sd folder to the root of your sd card.
2. ReiNX.bin using tegraRCMgui
3. say thanks to rei
You would install .NSP files with this tool: https://gbatemp.net/threads/tinfoil-title-installer-manager-by-adubbz.511763/page-17#post-8162558

Yes but with ReiCFW, can we launch this installed games ?
With the unofficial builds, yes. Not with the official build found in the OP.

When you solve someone else's problem without even directly answering them.

Source for your claims? Out of your ass, right?

XCIs are cart dumps, so long as you don't run afoul of certificate/header mismatches or repeating certificates online at the same time, there's no way to tell an XCI from a cart.

NSPs are downloaded packages for an account that purchased them. Nintendo has an entire log of everything any one has ever purchased. If you console reports home with a bunch of NSPs, they can find out if you own them or not.

Dammit I feel like a sucker for buying SX OS license, so glad I didn't get the pro though. But I have been happy with TX and grateful for their work for thecl minimal fee paid.

I don't understand the whole XCI NSP which is safer debate lol. Nintendo will eventually ban all our asses eventually until the scene progresses to prevent it.

It's a free CFW and runs NSPs. Just reformat your microsd as exFat and get loading whoop whoop!!!
I think a NSP cutter tool will eventually be released for those on Fat32 who are too lazy to reformat like me.

Awesome news to the Switch community and great kudos to ReiNX developers and the unofficial sig patch release.

That won't work. You need signature patches to be able to install and to be able to play the games.

i mean after installing the nsp.. the games will not run after reboot.?
and nsp is installed on micro sd and not in internal memory?

Of course not. The OFW doesn't care if they are installed, it cares if you own them and it will then attempt to verify.

Error trying to install nsp with tinfoil

If you bought the os believing a free option was never coming then maybe that.

Stuff like this is inevitable but this is kinda the first open sourced one.

Im on 4.1.0. I get blue screen after splash.
My sd card contains ONLY:
folders ReiNX, switch
File hbmnu.nro
I launched rei's payload through tegrarcm.

Any advice?

If you want to be able to run a game after installing it, you must be using signature patches.

Using Tinfoil, the games will be installed to the SD card. Once we can use DevMenu in conjunction with signature patches, you will have the option of installing it to the system memory. You will still need signature patches to play the games.

The console won't let you, even after installation. The nsps are installed on the system memory iirc

EDIT: So, Tinfoil installs them to the SD card. I was thinking about DevMenu in that case.
