With many users struggling to get devmenu working through layeredFS to install titles, it is safe to say that it has been a subpar solution.

@Adubbz has come to the rescue by releasing the source of a title manager named Tinfoil. The app is currently in a early, but usable state. It can currently install .nsp files, as well as extracted ones. Signature patches are however needed to run the games, thus SX OS is currently required to use the installed titles until a custom signature patching kip is released to be loaded with Hekate. It will fail if you use tickets or certs that aren't yours without SX.

There has however not been a official release, and the developer warns against using it, so it is highly recommended that you don't test the attached binary unless you know what you are doing.

    Screenshots

This is unfinished software, use at your own risk, and make sure you have a backup of your NAND. End users should in general not risk using it.
Compiled binary is attached, if you don't trust it compile from source yourself. I hold no liability if anything happens to your Switch, and again I stress that this is NOT ready for end users.

I have only tested on 5.1.0.

Signature patches are required to run the titles, only SX OS has this currently so you will need it.

Let's not make this a TX vs everyone thread. This will be possible to use on Hekate once a sig patch kip is made public, everyone gets the cake!

The latest commit clearly says this:

Not sure why you would compile and make a release thread for this instead of just waiting till the dev himself decides when it's ready.

    Sick!
Every day we get further in this scene.

Combined to a custom firmware, this is basically a beast.

There is a warning in OP, and the source is public. People will try to compile it anyway, and a thread would be posted regardless.

It's also nice to show people that the scene is moving forward.

This sounds like a step in right direction for me, wasn’t really much of a fan of the devmenu way and now im banned this should make it easier to give .nsp files a go

    Nice work! Cheers

I disagree and don't like this new thing of people making release threads for stuff that the original dev didn't deem ready yet themselves.

Also, the reason he put it's not ready for general public could also be that it's not safe rather than it doesn't work.

@Quantumcat Could have asked me to edit my first post or done it yourself, since it thanked the actual creator.

    Anyway, thanks again @Adubbz

In a general sense I agree with your stance, I do however see no harm in making a news post to show that this is in development providing a warning against using the software.
