So there are threads for saves and tools, but this thread is just for discussing the game itself.

I recently picked the game up and started playing it. I just got done with Ding Dong Dell and headed to the desert.

What do you guys think of the game? Great RPG, or a boring game? Discuss and talk about it.

It's a master piece! Truly an amazing game.
For me it's the best PS3 game of the year so far and one of the best PS3 games all time.

I remember it being fairly easy, but I believe I had over leveled myself (grinding the different toko's) So if I ever decide to replay it, I think I'll avoid doing that.:glare: Overall I enjoyed the game.
I thought it really picked up once I got the boat.

I actually gave up on the game. It dragged out too long I feel and got boring.
Sorry to hear you gave up on the game. I recently gave up on Eternal Sonata, just couldn't stay interested in the game for some reason.

Grinding with tokos is very good, but I stoped doing that and started grinding with Ulks,
it's a lot more fun, and they offer a good fight.
They give the same exp as toko, 2500, they don't run away, and are easier to find.

True but lets not forget about tokotoko and tokotocold they offer alot more exp, I started out on Toko until i could handle tokotoko. but yes they are rare spawns and tokotocold is like in the final dungeon. So I guess its whatever the person prefers.

Tokotoko and tokocold are quite rare, while Ulk is pretty easy to find.
Also grinding with toko and it's evolutions is pretty boring, while grinding with Ulk is a bit fun.

But yes, it's a very good idea grinding with toko, tokotoko and tokocold,
I've done it over and over again.

I got to the part where Marcassin and his brother finish the flute and then you gotta cross the swamp. I stopped at the swamp. It's a great RPG, but I really feel like it dragged out too long. Also some more voice acting would have gone a long way.

I played the demo awhile ago. It was pretty good but it felt boring at the same time. I'll probably get it but not anytime soon.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
