Off The Grid is an upcoming cyberpunk-themed game directed by Neill Blomkamp (District 9). The gameplay, which is described as a battle royale third-person shooter that blends PvE and PvP elements, was showcased in a new trailer:

Off The Grid throws players into a covert corporate war between three gaming companies on the tropical dystopia of Teardrop Island. Blending PvE and PvP like never before, as a cyberlimbed Zero, you’ll experience hectic 150-player battle royales, fighting to survive while simultaneously immersing yourself in an incredible 60-hour narrative campaign.Off The Grid allows for in-session modifications where players can equip their characters with unique abilities by fitting cybernetic limbs, equipping different weapons, and weapon attachments giving an entirely new meaning to 'adaptive gameplay.'

Off The Grid is currently in development by developer Gunzilla Games.

Damn...that sucks. Its also unfair that the future of District 10 relies on Gran Turismo doing well (it won't. it will bomb)

Reminds me of Nintendo saying that Chibi Robo a 3rd person platformer....will die if Zip Lash a 2D platformer failed.
