Hacking October 23rd Wii Fix by ‘a_running_pir8’.

i installed the IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad and the ciosfix wad. now i dont get the error -2011 anmore

do i still need to install Shop IOS5 and do the ISO downloader?
What are those 2?

it's up to you to install the IOS for the shop channel ( do you use it ? ) and if you want to get the best out of your system you use IOSDowngrader ( not downloader ) these terms have different meaning and can get you wrong answers

I was running 3.4U and through other guides managed to downgrade to 3.2U.
When I enter the Wii settings, I do see that its version 3.2U
Yet I still can't get CIOS installer to install, finally found this site and I'am hopping for some help.

When i run CIOS installer,
@ the HBC screen I run CIOS Installer Version 0.3 gamma Coder wiigator
once it loads I see
CIOS installer V7
pressing A, it starts to
Download ISO36 ......
After some more downloading I then get a
.... Failed -1017
installer returned -1

and when loading Backup Loader with my DVD in I get
DVD error code -324

Yes, My wireless connection is set up, I am able to use the "TEST CONNECTION" and was sucessfull

I'm having some trouble. I got to Step 5 and when I attempt to run IOS Downgrader v1.1, my Wii just reboots to the welcome screen. Please help...

I am running 3.4U atm.

EDIT:
I tried to use the cISO Downgrader v1.2 and it also restarted my Wii to the welcome screen. Am I missing something?

I get error 1022 at different content numbers, when installing cios_fix.
I especially get error at content #06, #08 and #013..

Everytime I format my SD and put everything on it again I get an error at a different number :S
Yes I installed "IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad" with WadManager1.3.

@Mastergatuno: You could use a wad version of the cios (I recommend cios 36 rev8)

@Beertaker: Don't use cios_fix.wad. Use a wad of cios 36 rev8 or install it using the cios installer.

So I first install "IOS16-64-v257-prod" and then "cios 36 rev8"?
What is the order of installing everything

EDIT: I did it, I'm on 3.2E! I just formatted agaain and this time it worked.
I installed cios-fix, then downgraded with "IOS Downgrader" (After that, I was still at 3.4E).
Then I ran "cIOS Downgrader" and was on 3.2E.
Finally I installed the latest cIOS with "cIOS Installer" and ran "Starfall".

Can't seem to copy the twilight hack to system memory, keeps saying that is may not be copied, and then is isn't copied indeed.

What do we do now? :'(

I have 3.3Uv2, I think, because I keep getting ERROR ret 2011

I couldn't downgrade because the Firmware Downgrader would not run; the Wii would just restart.
So I tried using the "Wii Fix" Guide.

However, in the step where I have to install the cIOS_Fix.wad, I would get the familiar ERROR: "ERROR ret=2011"
The very error I'm trying to fix.

By the way, does the fact that I installed IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad and wasn't able continue the steps... is that harmful?

Hey guys, im new here. I have some questions though, i currently have the system menu version 3.4U and i dont have the hombrew channel installed, will i be able to instal the hombrew channel using the twilight hack, even if im using version 3.4U? and also, is it very VERY safe to install the backup launcher gamma with my system menu? and if im able to do all that stuff, will i still be able to download things on the shopping channel?

Sorry for asking too much guys, but im really concerned if this would really work 100% since i have version 3.4, anyways, thanks guys!

Hi, I'm having a lot of problems and some help would be greatly appreciated.

I started off running 3.3U with the Oct update, got the homebrew channel running but couldnt install any cIOS or WADs. After being told by one of the installers "if this doesn't work, you need to downgrade", i downgraded all the way to 2.2U, which is where I'm at right now.

But I still can't install any WADs or cIOS. my tenacious searching led me to this thread and its Wii Fix Guide that seemed to work for so many people with the same problem. I successfully installed IOS16-64-v257-prod.wad (to date this has been the only thing ive been able to install), but cios_fix will not install, with or without WAD manager.

I hate to be a bother with questions, I've always been able to get by with searches in the past... but this has had me horribly frustrated for the past 3 days... please help. Thanks.

Hello, I had a problem after downgrade the wii from 3.4U to 3.2U.
Wii Shop Stop working, anyone know the reason of why this happen and how to fix it?

What happen is, I select wii shop and the wii restarts.
