I literally couldn't see where Releases was, so cheers for the link.

Huh. Ok. I might try find a really short usbc cable, or maybe I'll buy one and cut it down to be as short as I can.
I was also considering if the issue might be that my Usb-A to Usb-C is a usb 3.0 cable, where as my otg cable is usb 2.0.

Don't cut just use a good quality and short cable (0.3m or 0.5m). It's an impedance matching issue so it's worse to cut and solder a cable. And if possible make sure that the usb side has a 56k resistor (look at aliexpress or ebay usb c cable 56k).

Might really be down to the cable. I'll try find a short one.

If you're using the stock samsung cable then try to use another. I've used around 3 samsung cables already with the same result as yours, using another brand fixed the issue.

I'm not using the Samsung cable. I'm using a cable from a company called Blue diamond. It's a Usb 3.0 to C cable. The otg adapter I'm not sure, got it for about 10 quid.

did you get an OTG converter with your phone?. I got one with my S7 and S8 and that works great.

use some otg hub works 100% all the time.

otg adapter wont work on me but using otg hub works.. i got s8 exynos version
