hello

i just download 1.2.18
and i have the same runtime error 52 : bad file name or number

this error can come at anytime of the process (1 or 2 sec)

after launch the program :
- if you click fast on dialbox, program can create ini/ titlekeyx/xml and even launh the program with another error 91
- but if you are slow when the error appear you cant acces to the other popup and no file are created and the program dont launch

This is VB
So it does one thing after the other. No multithreading.
That means if there is a question the code stops and waits. NOTHING happends in background.
I found the error 9 and not 91 ;-) (Its only on a fresh / NEW install)

Do you try to download the NSW DB?

yes and i get a nswdb.xml nothing else


here is the error 91(when we click fast to create files and launch de program)

Error 0 = No rights (most time a file access error).
Do you start it as Admin?

Like allways are you using the actual version (1.2.19) ?
I changed some routines to catch errors at the start.
If yes then please send me the contens of your ini file as PM

This error 91 comes up if you close the Programm while it starts to draw the Listview for the first time
It's nearly impossible to get this error. (About 2ms time)
Wrote a errorcatcher for this routine / will be up with 1.2.20

But i can't find a reason why it closes.

You have selected Lenght in Renaming ;-)
Uncheck it and it should work.

I'm still get script errors with certain filename characters as I explained previously and that's annoying
Some of my nsps are scanning as 'jp' language when they are correctly showing 'us' in nut (i'll do some testng tomorrow)
I don't believe the select outdated scan is working correctly, DLC not allowed to have lower version than update aint right etc
Not sure the any of the version checking stuff is accurate, base game version doesn't need to match actual version that's the update versions job.

Honestly, my confidence to trust the tools more adv features just wasn't there previously (still patchy) but your doing some really great work.
Maybe time to open a git repo let a few more eyes help you smooth the edges?

Do you have a discord id, happy to pm you over some screenshots/error info to help debug.

Ehrlich gesagt, mein Vertrauen zu den Tools mehr Adv Features war einfach nicht da (immer noch lückenhaft), aber Sie tun einige wirklich gute Arbeit.

Installed games info gets lost when restarting or resorting Restarting yes Resorting NO but they are gone after every scan.
This tool is fast enough so i dont generate Databases for games.
Every Info is allways new. But if you like i can make a option to save the installed games to the ini.
So they stay until you do a new scan for installed from SD or FTP

Some of my nsps are scanning as 'jp' language.. NO my program doesn't scan the languages ;-) So its an error in one of the DB's you use. Give me the ID and tell me what DB's you use?
I don't believe the select outdated scan is working correctly.. It works like it should! It should find The old versions you have.
e.g. You have V1, V2, V3 then V1 and V2 is outdated This doesnt mean there is no V4 it only says you can remove V1 and V2
This is no CDNSP! No interest in searching the web for new versions...

99% of all Basegames are V0 If you are talking about the Yellow Missing update ITS MISSING UPDATE
If i don't mark the game you wouldn't see there is an update if it's the first and you can see what version this Update has.
Sure i can only mark games missing an update or old updates but why?
SO RESULT: Every game thats yellow is MISSING the actual update! Every DLC/Update thats yellow is an old version.

This is possible in about 5 mins but what do you do with this list ?

Still wayting for your ini as PM ;-)
With your ini i can recreate your settings/enviroment on a virtual PC so maybe i can find the errror.
No relative path in the whole tool
No changes for any of the Path's in the tool.
I can make a special version for you. This version crates a logfile for every step it makes so we can find out what step brings the crash.
But this is many work for me so i would only do it if you use it and send me the result to find the error.

It's a shame, you won't considered open sourcing your project, in a scene built on that ideal, it's helpful for people deciding which tools to use...

No i dindn't misunderstood
But i can't fix whats not my fault :-)
Like your Japanese Game It's a database Problem but i didn't make the DB. Even if it is in webdb then its from BigN'S webpage.
And so on and so on.
If you find an error I'll fix it. But if it is not mine :-) i can't

What about the 2 things i asked.
1. Saving the installed games
2. Create a "Not in my Language" list.
I don't need both.
For Nr. 1 the scan is so fast i dont need it and i only need the info to know what i need to copy to my SD (So the SD is in my PC)
For 2 i use German and after the German scan i do an updatescan with english(UK)
But i can make both.

Okami wörks like a charm with Ô for me.
But i will find it.
Which windows are you using XP/Vista/7/8/10 32 or 64 ?

I found an error in my API Call. Now it works.
Youre the first who posted the infos i needed!
Please also test it with your cardreader Now this should work without problems


V1.2.21 is online
Added only a few new FTP functions: Create Directory, Rename, Delete, Download File

V1.2.22 brings Firmware 6 support

There are 2 other new fuctions that maybe usefull
You can select the firmware of your switch and mark all files for a higher firmare (only Fimware gets a new color)
Or
Select all files with higher fimware (to move them to a special folder or what ever you want to do)
