NSP Install Guide for 6.2.0

Made a small guide on how to install .nsp's on 6.2.0. Hope this helps, boys! :D

(This is from the README in the .zip)

How to hack your Switch and install .nsp's on 6.2.0 ~Guide by SonicNinja~
~~~ 0.1. Make sure you are disconnected from Wi-Fi and turn off all sleep
mode settings (On both TV and Handheld mode)
~(NEVER GO INTO SLEEP MODE WHILE USING CFW! ALWAYS POWER OFF WHEN YOU ARE
DONE PLAYING OR BAD THINGS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOUR SWITCH!!!)~
(While not on the dock, you can also enable Airplane Mode and
turn on Bluetooth and NFC while in Handheld mode to further
protect yourself.)
0.2. Power down Switch, remove SD Card and enter RCM Mode
(I used the Paper Clip trick to enter RCM Mode) ~~~
1. Open "Files to Switch SD" and drag all contents to the root of the SD Card
2. Put any .nsp files you are trying to install into
the "tinfoil\nsp" folder on the SD Card.
3.Put the SD Card back into the Switch.
4. Open "Files to run on PC" and open the program "TegraRcmGUI"
5. Click the "Settings" tab at the top of the program and
click "Install Driver"
6. Click the "Payload" tab at the top of the program and
click the folder icon next to where it says "Select payload:" and
in the "Files to run on PC" folder, select the file "hekate_ctcaer_4.2.bin"
7. Plug your Switch into the PC via the charging cable (USB Type C cord)
8. Click the "Inject payload" button next to the folder icon button.
~~~BEFORE GOING ANY FURTHER!~~~
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT YOU MAKE A BACKUP OF YOUR NAND
BEFORE INSTALLING/LAUNCHING ANY CFW!!!!!!
69.1 While in hekate on the Switch, use the Volume +/- buttons to
navigate and the Power button to select choices.
69.2 Go to tools, backup, under "---Full---"
do both "Backup eMMC Boot/1" & "Backup eMMC RAW GPP" options.
(This might take up to 40 ~ 60 minutes but it's worth the wait if
you somehow end up bricking your Switch.
Also note that this takes up close to 30GB so make sure you have a
big enough SD Card before starting the backup.)
69.3 Once both processes are done, put the SD Card back into your PC.
69.4 Copy the "backup" folder from the root of your SD Card and paste
it somewhere safe on your PC.
69.5 Put the SD Card back into the Switch
~~~YOU ARE SAFE NOW! BACK TO THE GUIDE~~~
9. While in hekate on the Switch, use the Volume +/- buttons to
navigate and the Power button to select choices.
*9.1 (Not necessary but useful if you don't want to
use the Paper Clip trick every time you want to play on CFW)
Select tools, under "---DANGEROUS---" select AutoRCM, and lastly
select "Enable AutoRCM"
(Please note that you will have to use the "TegraRcmGUI" program
every time you want to use your Switch after you power it off and
you can always disable this if you want to use your Switch
without CFW, just know you will have to do the Paper Clip trick
again to get back into CFW)
~(AGAIN, NEVER GO INTO SLEEP MODE WHILE USING CFW! ALWAYS POWER OFF WHEN YOU ARE
DONE PLAYING OR BAD THINGS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOUR SWITCH!!!)~*
10. Select "Launch", then select "Payloads..." and lastly select
"fusee-primary.bin". Once it's finished, you should load into
the Switch like normal. YOU ARE NOW RUNNING CFW! :D
11. Navigate to the "Album" at the bottom next to Nintendo EShop and
Controllers and select it. You should load into the HBMenu.
12. Select "Tinfoil"
13. Select Title Management, Install NSP, select the .nsp's you want
to install, select either SD Card (if you have the space for it)
or NAND (install straight to the system) and lastly select "No" for
Ignore Required Firmware Version.
14. Press the home button and LOOK AT YOUR NEW INSTALLED TITLE! :D
I hope this guide helps out and if you have any questions, always
Not believing it's bad until I have proof. Maybe OP was mixed up with people who downgraded who can't use sleep mode at all? Otherwise no idea.
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
Hekate even started officially supporting sleep mode back in June.
https://www.reddit.com/r/SwitchHaxi...e_now_supports_sleep_mode_on_all_fw_versions/
I think he might be referring to this theory that your switch autoconnect to the Wifi even while in airplane mode when docked (some claimed it).
That should be specified rather than senseless fear mongering
"(AGAIN, NEVER GO INTO SLEEP MODE WHILE USING CFW! ALWAYS POWER OFF WHEN YOU ARE
DONE PLAYING OR BAD THINGS MIGHT HAPPEN TO YOUR SWITCH!!!)"
That's not even an issue for me I don't even keep any internet connections on my Switch.
I think I messed up step "0.2." What is the right way to get the SD card out? I tried pliers but it bended and made a snapping sound!
