So I like to have a game of Super Mario Maker II most days on my switch, yesterday when I tried to play it came up with an error that I have no valid subscription... This is crazy as I have other 3 years (I've been topping it up whenever there's been code deals).

So anyway I look in to the Online part on the switch and on my pc and it says free 7 day trial available blah blah, so I sign up for that so I can at least play my damn game.

Tonight I've been trying to contact support online but it just keeps taking me round in circles.

Please see the attached image where it also shows my 3 years subscription as well as the trial but it doesn't seem to recognise it as such.

It's a totally clean, legit unit only ever used for Mario and this has really wound me up, more so as I can't contact anyone.

Has anyone ever heard of anything similar and knows how I can get it resolved?

Thanks in advance

thats your membership history, that shows for how long youve had the subscription, not how long you have left. on that screen you see there, press b once and itll show how long your current sub is still valid

You first mistake was assuming that the "Membership History" window is your duration. That actually shows how long you've had a subscription for each type (ex: it shows that you've had NSO+ExP Individual subscription for 3 years and 1 day over the 3 years, 3 months, and 24 days total that you've been subscribed to NSO), and has no relation to your current subscription, outside of going up each day you're actively subscribed.

Going to the page before that shows 1) the expiration data of your current subscription, and 2) the deadline to turn off automatic renewal (if you have that set)

@linuxares If you could please close this, I'm not very experienced in the world of legit things apparently lol

It's not a huge mistake to be worried about, really. A number of services that are subscription-based occasionally show you how many days are left, and I wouldn't blame anyone for thinking the number in the Membership History page reflected such. That being said, it's always a good idea to check for an expiration date as well (since this is always set to be the end of your current free/paid subscription period), just to be sure. And, as I noted, the deadline to turn off automatic renewal if you ever set that up and need to cancel it for any reason, such as changing payment method, or wanting to downgrade from NSO+ExP (since this can't be changed mid-subscription - you have to let the current NSO+ExP subscription expire before it will let you go back to the basic subscription).
