Gaming NSMB2 problem

Im curently playing New Supermario Bros 2, but i cant seem to unlock the cannon in World 1. I go to the tower, halfway through i enter the door, i get to the lvl with the moving green blocks, move through the gap to the right, enter the pipe, and finish the level, but it won't unlock the Cannon. Any help is appriciated.
