nakata6790 Said: I use my Black wiimote with motion+ included and i have no issues whatsoever with either Wii64/Not64 or WiiSX.

Really? How long ago did you buy the controller? I have the new Mario themed Wii controller and there might be something that is blocking the old emulators in it. Because All my old controllers that don't have motion plus work. But the weird thing is that the wii motion plus Mario controller works fine for Not64. That is why I thought that something was changed that made these controllers work with the Not64 emulator. Does anyone else have the new Mario wii controller and have problems with the wii64 or wiisx? I don't know if Nintendo could put software in their controllers to turn off the controller when it detects homebrew software. Because the controller won't even light up or respond, when I exit the emulator then the controller works. It is not the batteries! This really SUCKS!:ohnoes:

Or you could take out the Wii motion plus dongle.

No, it's one of the controllers that has it built into the controller. Unless there is a way to take it apart and get the wii motion plus out. Is there a way?

Probably, but modifying hardware to solve a software problem is really ugly and even then, the MotionPlus itself isn't the problem. Newer Wii Remotes (not all of the Mo+ ones, but a subset of them; model number RVL-CNT-01-TR) don't have a feature that old homebrew libraries were using to communicate with them. It wasn't an officially designated way for them to operate anyway, so it didn't break compatibility with commercial titles at all. Homebrew compiled using more recent versions of the library is able to communicate the "official" way and works with the new models. Anything that doesn't work with your hardware just needs to be recompiled.

Thanks for the explanation! So maybe extremes could compile the wiisx and wii64 emulators so that it works with that model number. The new Mario controllers have a model number of RVL-036 so that is why it is probably not working. But not all controllers with the RVL model number don't work, because I have a RVL-003 wii controller without Wii motion plus inside and it works with the Homebrew. But I bought that controller years ago. So it's not the wii motion plus it is the time you bought it which effects the model number of your controller. So how could I find recent libraries that people have compiled of the emulator? Thank you for all of your help!

Its likely just a software bug in Not64. Something about that specific controller, it just doesn't like. I highly doubt Nintendo would stoop as low as to block your controller from being used with homebrew. It would be much simpler and consistent to block stuff on the console end instead with individual controller models anyways

I bought my Wii in 2009, the Wii Sports Resort Black Wii Bundle.

Extrems

God, you're amazing. Some games are running so freaking fast right now it seems that with some more tweaks N64 emulation on Wii/Cube could be so good that the Wii could finally replace the old Xbox and the Dreamcast as the new Homebrewer's Choice Console.

Not to mention the possibilities of the recently announced Lan-split-screen multiplayer hack.

Just a quick question. I've been experimenting with my rom collection, all of them from no-intro romsets, and it seems that games like Castlevania and Turok Rage Wars that used to load just black-screen on me on the 2014-12-26 hotfix.

Is that normal? Could it be just the hotfix? Could you upload the previous updated version just to check?

Thank you sir, thank you so much.

Check page 23 for a list of working games.
Turok Rage Wars does work. Castlevania 64 boots and plays in interpreter mode.

Yep, I managed to boot into Rage Wars via interpreter mode and then revert back to dynarec in the main menu.

Donkey Kong 64 it's so close it hurts, but man, this is great.

where is the link to the latest version with the hotfix? i for the life of me can't find it.

nope. The download link in the page you posted is the 11092012 version.
I attached the 16122014 update.
Even if the link is for an old version, when you start downloading, it automatically updates itself and the file you will be asked to save is always the most recent version! ;)
At least this was what happened when I last tried! :P
