It seems most of the stuff is related to Wii U gamepad.
But... I noticed something else.

Dude can you do me a favor and try booting up RE2 with this build, please?

You saw that in the code too? Something about MusyX (the audio codec used by Factor 5 in several games), and Resident Evil 2 in the code. Intriguing indeed... I'll need to find my Wii remotes XD

Is there any performance improvements?
I haven't installed this yet, but I just want to be sure that this update is actually better than the 2016 one.

From what I've surmised by glancing at the code, it very well could be.

Yeah that's intriguing.
Perhaps try with both RE2 and Rogue Squadron as well, it's worth checking out.

Damn I can almost feel the frustration.
You'll find it :P

I know, I will, it's just weird that I don't remember where I put it XD Maybe @ploggy can test in proxy? :P

Edit: Tested Resident Evil 2, and, the ROM did boot up, somewhat, managed to get to the title screen to start a new game, the title screen is garbled, but you can still read New Game, violence level, etc. and the intro even plays (the back story), but runs 18 fps. In-game, jpegs (backgrounds) flicker, 3D models do show up though.

Will report back with more testing.

Conker's Bad Fur Day - Takes a bit to boot up, logo screen and game menu full speed, Wii U crash after starting a new game
Hydro Thunder - complete Wii U lock up, maybe due to use of MusyX audio
Resident Evil 2 - Boots up and does get in-game, but backgrounds are missing. I don't seem to recall the game ever starting up in past versions.

I think I should test this on my regular Wii, mostly because it's faster to get into Wii apps.

So what games can now play full speed that couldn't on the last version? Specifically is Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong 64 playable now?

@the_randomizer so RE2 now boots but we get no background images?
Interesting.
What about Rogue Squadron, did you try that one?

Also, guys, you might want to try the latest build with Wii VC, it might work now since I do see some Wii U DRC code being implemented, though I don't know if it's already working or not.

Conker was working great with the 2016 version

Not in this version, it boots up no issue, but when you choose no game and the camera leaves the bar, it just crashes.

Yeah, there are no compressed JPEG background images, that and the game has dynamic resolution, so it changes constantly with no. of enemies on screen and so forth, very tricky to emulate; AFAIK, only a couple of plugins handle it right, GlideN64 being one of them.

No, I was getting mad at the having to constantly unplug the Wii U after a game crashed, holding B during boot up to get into vWii mode, etc. What I'm gonna just test this on my Wii instead, a lot faster to start apps up on there. Rogue Squadron needs LLE emulation, right now, only two plugins load the game at all.
