I have read that for some games its needed to set up differently configuration of software modification program...
Is it possible to save profiles of configuration so that i don't need to change it every time again...

How many games asks for different configuration....

And could someone compare complexity of using software modification to installing Windows for example.. Can even kids understand it? xD I have read tutorials , but i will not be sure can i succeed in modifying Wii until i try it ...

Do i must use SD card or i can use USB sticks too?

I'm following this guide: http://sites.google.com/site/completesg/hacking-guide/trucha

I'm having trouble on step 6 of the off-line guide.

6. Time to patch our System menu IOS (IOS60) to run wads from SD card menu. Must also be installed for those upgrading to 4.1 from a 3.x firmware.
* Run DOP-IOS v8. First choose IOS36 and it will go to the next screen. Go right till you see IOS60. Choose yes for every option and let it install. Reboot your wii.

First, I'm running DOP-IOS v9. When I get to IOS60, it doesn't have a (A) option, only has a (-) option, saying that it'll go back to v6147. When I press (-) it says initializing network and then fails. Do I need to have connection to the internet? Or maybe my SD isn't right? Just to add, my wii is currently 3.1U hard modded.

Yes you need a internet connection or a ios60 6174 wad already trucha signed
Use NUS to download ios60 6174 click on "Pack -> WAD" up the top under extras click on "Enable BETA Trucha Features" trucha will appear on bottom right of NUS click on "Trucha" download when it has finished another window will pop up besides NUS click on "Write Changes to Ticket" then "Finished With Trucha Changes..." Use wad manger to install

Just run the bootmii installer in HBC

Where can i find the link to download the installer?
When i press home button in HBC, there is a button for bootmii, but also blank screen.
I will try to download and install it again.
What's the difference between priiloader and bootmii ?

Thanks for your many, many help!

I also have a problem with usb loader.
I use a wd passport HD. Made 2 partitions.
1 fat (active) and 1 WBFS made with wbfs manager.

I installed USB Loader GX 1.0 easy Installer and it configured my HD.
When i plug it in the wii and start HBC there's nothing. Only HBC.
No usb device found.
Also nothing in the other usb port.

My god, am i stupid ??

hit 1 while in the homebrew channel, the select to load your usb device, if it doesn't work, u either have the naming convention on your hard drive wrong (it should be under USB:/apps/app_name/boot.dol) or you've formatted your drive wrong (it should be fat32, not ntfs, and it should be an active partition), or you're hard drive just is incompatible (google for compatibility list)

Ok another ???

Since my wii is only 2.2 is there anyway other then the twilight hack to softmod?

Are there any real benefits to updating to say 3.1 using a game update(via super smash bros or any others post them if you know any) and then doing the softmod?

Which one would be best seein how I have to buy a game either way to softmod?

Hell yeah, finally some action.
Installed the configurable USB loader.
First he couldn't find the HD.

After all, i noticed there was a bad contact in the crappy usb cable WD delivered with the HD.
Now it's working all good.

Instead of bootmii...
Still failed to install this silly programm.

Finally,

USB loader works.
The game wil only load if i set the IOS to hermes 222.
Otherwise at IOS249 nog game will boot. Is that normal ?

What things can i save on the fat partition?
Is it possible to run USB loader from the HD (fat part) or do i always have to use the SD card ?

I have the bootmii installer back on SD.
Put in the wii, get the wii on. and then my HBC automatically starts.

How can i let the bootmii installer starts ?

k, stop quoting yourself, its like ur having a conversation with urself! lol

since u already have homebrew, u can launch the hackmii installer by copying the hackmii boot.elf to the following directory

SD:/apps/ANY_TITLE/boot.elf

then just launch it via homebrew
