I think you can use wiiscrubber to extract any file from a wii ISO

So this is what I've done to my wii, is there anything else I should do to it? I had a drivechip before, so never really though much of softmodding. Drive died, so now I want a USB loader + USB external drive (~1TB).

Previous:
* Firmware 3.2U
* WiiKey 1.9s
* HBC 1.0.1 (via Twilight Hack)

Currently:
- Formatted System Memory then...
* Firmware 4.2U via Wii System Update
* WiiKey 1.9s (left it in, but unfortunately the DVD drive is shot, will need a new one)
* InstallMii v0.6 (via bannerbomb)
- BootMii beta4 as boot2 and IOS
- HBC 1.0.6
- DVDX v2
* Trucha Bug Restorer v1.11 (re-enabled Trucha on IOS 36)
* Waninkoko cIOS 38r15 (249, 250)
* Hermes cIOS v4 (202, 222 and 223)
* WiiFlow 1.1 Lite (with "static" loader)

Anything else that I'd overlooked that I should really have?

Hi, I think I am back to being a noob.
I Softmodded my Wii last year while living in Russia. In June I moved home and discovered my PAL system didn't work with any of the tvs around. We just bought a tv and can play our wii again. Since June there have been lots of updates and the old 002 error again. I am running 3.3U. and the last game I know gave me the 002 error before I updated was sonic and the black knight. Do I just go with the latest updates or do I need to patch all of them through to now to run the newer games? The last update I had seen was the crack of updating to 4.0 and the release of the USB loader which I have not installed.
Any advice would be great, I dont' want to brick it after just getting it back.
Thank you!

Goal - Retitle-code NSMBW so that I can have different copies of the same game at the same time.

Currently, I have one patched version of NSMBW. I'd like to copy it and then rename its game ID code so that I can load the copy onto the USB drive in addition to the original. This is in preparation of the romhacks. I'd prefer to use a program that doesn't actually install anything.
look for wiiscrubber.

I -have- Wii Scrubber (1.4) and it has no option to allow me to change the SMNE01 to another tag. I need more information than that in order to do this.
Open game with wiiscrubber when open look in left corner under unscrub you will see WII DISC right click and change boot id your done

If I buy a wii new like right now will I be able to softmodded and play backed up games?
If so, which guide would I follow.

Only from USB. The new wiis come with the new D3-2 drive that can't read DVD-Rs

So, it's been awhile since I've fired up my Wii (months) and NSMB looks pretty good. I've got a 3.4U version Wii that has been softmodded and have the Homebrew Channel, WAD Manager 1.3 and GUI-FX to play backups on an external USB Hard drive (I think I also have BootMii installed, but I don't remember exactly). The games I have installed work fine, but would like to know what I need to update to get newer games (ie NSMB) working.

Thanks!

Hi,I really want to play Guitar Hero 5 via usb loader but I dont have a wifi connection for my wii to install the necessary ios.Is there anything I can do?

Hi,

I just successfully updated my wii using the "Modify any Wii" guide here. Now trying to use neogamma I get a error message, error 001. What does it mean exaclty? And how can I solve it? Couldnt find any definite answer on the forums.

I tried to play Muramasa, burned on a Verbatim DVD-R, 3x speed
