Is it possible to play Brawl yet on a softmodded Wii using the NeoGamma launcher?

Thanks.

It's been possible for a LONG time...

AYou have to burn it with ImgBurn and set the layer break to something, go search for "brawl layer break imgburn"

QUOTE(Quick Man @ Dec 8 2009, 11:51 PM) Why does my HBC intermittently not open its apps?
What is the best nintendo 64 emulator?

For N64 emulator: None of them are very fast yet, go for injecting roms into a N64 VC wad

I was an avid modchip supporter, but a couple days ago I installed HBC due to the fact that chip teams suck for updates and support. I decided to go into usb loading, and set up a test sd card with the new configurable usbsd loader. To my surprise, its very easy and has great potential for me. I have a few questions because I have always used in region games and brick blocker with my chip.

-Does priiloader always block updates or do I have to set the usb loader to do something special?
should or shouldnt patch updates anymore (might cause iso not to run properly?)
-and last, what causes code dumps when I try to put a game on the card with the wii(works fine off the computer) but always code dumps after 10 to 20 percent done.

Thanks

hey, i am scared
smile.gif
i am on 4.0J, i have dvdx (although on D3-2 drive, so i think it is pointless?) i'm LU64+ (boot2v4 came with my wii, no bootmi in boot2). i have the hbc, and some cios's.
i have priiloader installed with some hacks.

i want to update to 4.2(J). i am confused on what guide to use, what file to use etc..
please help me
smile.gif

do i have to remove my hacked stuff first? thank you! (ps. was the site just down for an hour?)

how do i uninstall bootmii as an ios? I'm tired of having to go over and press the reset button.

Hi,I really want to play Guitar Hero 5 via usb loader but I dont have a wifi connection for my wii to install the necessary ios.Is there anything I can do?
Use NUS on your computer to download ios53 ios55 pack as a wad and use wad manager

I already have that done.I thought I needed 'Hermes' Ios222/223' in order to run Guitar hero 5.Its just I dont have wifi
If you have used NUS a few times you should have a collection of folders with all the ios's you need to install hermes 222 / 38 merge 37 and 223 / 38 merge 60
You can use NusFoldersRenamer.exe to make a single folder with the ios's in there relevent folders you put that folder on the root of your SD card if you havent downloaded ios 38,37 or 60 through nus then you should before running NusFoldersRenamer.exe

I hope this is the right place for this type of noob question. I have a 3.4E system that I want to get to play backups. I have been doing tons of reading in hopes of modding it correctly. So, far I have HBC and browser up and running. I can only install Bootmii as IOS but because I don't have a gc controller, I will have to pass making a nand backup (i have read that the model number I have, doesn't respond to the buttons on the console; LEFxxxxx). Now, since I am a noob and will probably make errors, and can't make a backup of nand, I want to make the smallest amount of footprints possible. So, I am reading and re-reading tons (possibly too much

). From what I've gathered, I should Trucha bug my system (IOS 36,etc), install cIOS 38r14, and install Neogamma. My question is that since my HBC is installed on IOS 36 and I attempt to use the Trucha bug, won't that cause problems? I have read that quite possibly it will cause HBC to be upside down and the fix for that would be to reinstall with a newer version. But I already have the newer version. At this point, what would be the best step to take that would be the simplest and do the least amount of changes to the system (oh to have Bootmii as Boot2!)? Should I uninstall HBC and reinstall an earlier version before I proceed with the rest?
Thank you for any help that I can get.

You dont need a gamecube controller to be able to make a nand backup in Bootmii you just use the power button and reset buttons on your wii

So, it's been awhile since I've fired up my Wii (months) and NSMB looks pretty good. I've got a 3.4U version Wii that has been softmodded and have the Homebrew Channel, WAD Manager 1.3 and GUI-FX to play backups on an external USB Hard drive (I think I also have BootMii installed, but I don't remember exactly). The games I have installed work fine, but would like to know what I need to update to get newer games (ie NSMB) working.

Thanks!

Thanks Cobleman for your quick response. Even if I could use Bootmii as IOS and could use the buttons, isn't it pretty useless? I've read that you shouldn't use it to restore your nand anyway. But that aside, any ideas as where to proceed from here? Sorry if I am asking goofy questions, but I want to take all possible precautions and tread lightly. Thanks so much.

re-run hackmii installer. why not configure your bootmii.ini if you don't want to see the bootmii menu or just safe keep the bootmii folder to your pc.

I'm downloading a game and in the discripton of the download site it says that
the game is WIIScrubbed. Do I have to unscrub it before I burn the game to a disc ??
or if I want to put it on my USB.
the game is 3.82 GB

Another question: Is it possible to Trim an wii ISO ??

~SOS~

I have used nand backups a few times with bootmii 1 was a banner brick the other 2 was just restoring mii wii back to 3.2 it like any nand restore is dangerous because of chance of power failure half or part the way through

no for the first question just put it straight on your USB/disc
and i think yes for the second with a tool called wii scrubber

Sorry this seems to be the correct thread for this

I have a hard-modded wii for my son, am am not keen to mess with softmod/homebrew channel etc.

Given the new protection is known for NSMB, is it now possible to "modify" the iso burn it to a disk so that the wiikey (and only wiikey) can play it ? Will it ever be possible?

thanks in advance?

Hi,

I just successfully updated my wii using the "Modify any Wii" guide here. Now trying to use neogamma I get a error message, error 001. What does it mean exaclty? And how can I solve it? Couldnt find any definite answer on the forums.

I tried to play Muramasa, burned on a Verbatim DVD-R, 3x speed

Anyone?

hey all

i have just obtained a black wii and plan to mod it using the modify any wii guide here
smile.gif

just a few qtions plz

1. once soft modded, can it still play PAL discs orginal? (its a UK Black PAL wii)
2. If i use any region changer to make it NTSC, can this cause a semi-brick or is completely safe to do. Ive seen vids on youtube of this being used and then you cant access the wii settings page, to change the video mode etc.

Just sme tips and pointers would be great.
