This used to work for me.
Can someone please helpe me??

Can someone help me get SSBB working? I'm using USBLoaderGX rev14 788, and I've tried several different isos and configurations. First I've tried both the NTSC and PAL isos. I've also tried setting IOS to 222/223/249 with block ios reload on or off. However, there's always the same problem. When I try to play Subspace Emissary Mode, the game will always get stuck on a scene and will repeatedly loop it. I can get past the opening scene and the first match, but then the game either infinitely loops the opening scene (NTSC) or the scene involving Samus (PAL).

As of this post I'm currently using "[Wii]Super_Smash_Bros_Brawl[DVD5][PAL][ESPALWii.com]" based from an earlier post from another user who said he had no problems playing the game until he tried using texture hacks.

Hello, I have a couple of Noob questions:

I successfully got backups working on my wii yesterday, my SD Card still has all the files on it from hacking. Is it ok to delete the files now? As it crashes when I open the SD Card on the wii, I imagine it is because of this.

I was thinking you just leave the apps folder and the wads folder, I also downloaded the internet browser to the card from the shop, so where would this be on the card?

Also. I'm using the Neogamma 7 thing to load my backups. Is there anyway I can have a shortcut channel that automatically launches the disc in the drive, or do you have to go through HBC, Neogamma etc.

Thanks in advance.

The sd card menu freezing is due to bannerbomb. Bannerbomb should be the content.bin file in this file directory: SD:\private\wii\title\aktn\content.bin

Delete that aktn folder. (If there's no other folders there you can just delete the whole private folder, but you don't have to.)

Once you install a wad, you don't need it on your SD card anymore, but should keep it on your pc or something at least because you will need them to uninstall whatever you installed if you need to. (unless they are IOS/system menu wad files or something, in which case you should NEVER uninstall.) I mean to save the wad's that you have of any vc/wiiware/channels you installed.

By downloading the internet channel to the card from the shop, do you mean you downloaded the new internet channel from the wii shop channel and had it download to your SD card instead of your system menu? If so, that would also be in your private folder along with bannerbomb so as I said above you would only delete that aktn folder and not everything.

In order to have an HBC app installed as a channel on your system menu, you need to install a wad of that application with wad manager. You should be able to find a wad of NeoGamma in the backup loader forum somewhere. I believe there's a good NeoGamma R6 autoboot channel wad that you can use and I think there's an R7 version of it later in the thread.

You can also install a dol forwarder channel, which would install a channel that will look in a specific folder for a .dol file on your sd card and load that. By installing that, you can replace the .dol file with a newer one in the event of an updated version of it or something instead of having to uninstall the channel and install a new wad of the new version.

Thanks for this btw

You need to put the trucha bug on your system menu IOS. So if you are on 4.0 or 4.1, you need to use DOP-IOS to install IOS60 v 6174 with the sig hash check. If you also have preloader, you will have to reinstall preloader after doing that by holding reset to get into it and loading the HBC from there and running the installer again because it will say your system menu is corrupt (because preloader needs to patch that new IOS60 again.)

I'm pretty sure that's a problem with cIOS rev14. It will not allow dual layer games to access the second layer of the game so try reverting back to cIOS rev 13a by just running that installer and having it use IOS249.

I dled and ran the cios rev13 installer from preloader, and then checked the credits screen for usb loader and confirmed that it said io249(rev 13). I started the game using default settings and then went int SSE mode again. It still looped at the samus scene.

Hello

I have abit of a problem.
I'm stuck at installing cISO rev14 due to syncproblems on my wiimote.
And my question is: Is there any other way to install cISO without having a wiimote 'plugged' in?
I tried to use a gamecube controller but it did'nt work.

I've searched but can't find anything related. I would really appreciate if someone could help me.

Side note: I've had this sync problem ever since i bought the wii. It loses sync every time a game/channel is started, and I'm not able to resync it either after entering HBC.

I upgraded to 4.2U, and I'm trying to downgrade it to 4.1. I have tried numerous ways to hack efficiently, but it all ends up with a dead end.

Can someone upload a rar with good instructions and everything I will need?

Cause I all I want is to play back ups, change my wii theme, and have protection
from updates(system updates and disc updates and channel updates).

Because my head hurts from all these tutorials.

so your hbc is upside-down? try reinstalling it. don't reinstall any ios' until you've tried reinstalling. you don't need to uninstall first, just reinstall over existing. if you're lucky like me, it'll choose to run on ios 34 (not likely trucha patched?) and you'll be set. worked like a charm for me.

Here again, trying a different set up now. I've got the cios38 rev13 installed (does it make a difference if it's installed on ios26 or ios249?) and more or less everything is set up according to http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=171901. I've ripped the game from an original copy NTSC. Trying to run the game using 249/222/223 results in a black screen after the first match in SSE. Whereas before the game got stuck looping in the samus scene, it now shows no scene at all.

4] Run Wad Manager [this step can be skipped if already on 4.1]
When it opens choose use IOS249. (it is probably already set to that)
Press A to leave NAND emulator disabled
Press A to open from SD slot.

To fix my upside down hbc , i installed a clean ios36 because my hbc uses ios36.....when i did this step above i choose use ios36 instead of 249 .......is that ok...it fixed my hbc...but i haven't tried anything else

thanx onad

Hey every1 my question is about using ImgBurn. i've been using for about a week now, and haven't changed any of the setting at all.

But have seen post that say things like you should change the settings and try to burn at 3x speed. well today while i was backing up wii game, i took notice of the write speed.

ImgBurn is writing at 16.1x and using neogamma r7 i am able to play my game. some where i saw it posted that the wii reads at 6x.

will these differences in speed affect my wii in a negative way?

Hi, I am trying to start Wii sports resort through the latest Gecko OS 192b. But when I launch game, it says it will install IOS 55 and a wad file, but when i press A for install on my Wiimote, it just dies. The wiimote freezes and I have to reboot the Wii. I am running firmware 3.2 and wiikey.

what gives?
