My Wii is pretty much up to date with those, I used modmii about 3 hours ago to update it.

Anyway, I resolved the problem by just making a WBFS partition in my hard drive and it works that way.

How do I change it to be used w/ gecko?

Trying to get neek2o to work using sneek+di.

When I load the channel it says "Loading please wait" very briefly then it just hangs at a black screen. What am I doing wrong.

I used modmii to get all the things I need.

You can't, Gecko OS is for cheats, Riivolution is for patches.

I have a 4.2U softmodded Wii. Is there some way that I can update my Wii to 4.3U without bricking and losing my softmod?

And if I can't update without losing my softmod, how can I update without bricking?

Can't play my retail Skyward Sword from disc channel because it just keep telling me that I need to update to play. When he asks me if I want to update and I say "no", the game simply doesn't start.

I can start the game by using NeoGamma, but it's annoying.

If you update all your IOS's with a program like modmii, and enable priiloader no update hax, then you will be able to play from the disc channel

if you use modmii , it generates tutorials for you to your specific needs , priiloader is among other things part of brick protection , allowing you to use any region and block online and disc updates , allowing you to play anything , on the SM your currently on , theres no benefit to upgrading to 4.3 .

As long as you have latest hbc, and follow modmii properly, there is little to no risk of a brick. Only chance for a brick is if your power cuts out mid update, but whats the chances of that ?

Ok, so here's some questions.

I've downloaded ModMii, but it has nothing about updating IOS, just options for softmodding new Wiis and other stuff. Do I have to follow the softmodding tutorials even if my Wii is already softmodded? I just want to update my IOS and install Priiloader so that I can play my retail Skyword Sword from disc channel.

If I do have to follow softmodding tutorials even with my Wii being already softmodded, what about my already modified IOS? Are there no risks envolving installing new IOS over them?

you could probably skip the hbc steps of a guide , but updating all of your other files isnt a problem. Dont ignore the steps asking you to make nand backups,

I was just about to make my NAND backup, but when I try to open BootMii from HBC 1.1.0 all I get is a black screen.
