Noob help needed...

Hi..I have picked up a pre modded switch and need a little help.

The SD card that came with this switch is 128gb...I need a much larger one for my uses. How do I ''clone'' the contents from the micro sd card in the modded switch to a larger 512 gb sized one? Is it a simple case of copying and pasting all files including hidden files from the modded switches micro Sd to the larger SD card? I will assume I'd need to format the 512 gb card to ex-fat.

Also, this switch comes with dongle and a jig. Do I need to use this every single time the console turns off in sleep mode or just when I turn it on after a hard power off?

also, is there any thing I can do so I dont need this dongle and jig thing?

Format the sd card to fat32. Exfat causes corruption. You can enable AutoRCM if you use Hekate. So no need for jig but enabling this will require you to inject a payload everytime to boot the switch. Also don't let your switch die completely while having AutoRCM enabled. It's a pain to get it back on.

hi, first check the format of your sd card ,the one that came with the switch , if it's fat32/ or exfat , then format the new SD card to the same , copy over all contents , the dongle/ jig thing use after hard power off only , enjoy

You can copy all files except partition-based emuMMC. For that, you can use Hekate to dump then restore it on the new SD card. Also, you need to use the dongle and jig every time the console is turned off. Sleep mode doesn't count as turning off the console. You can enable AutoRCM to remove the need for the jig but you need to send a payload because that is how the exploit works.
