Hacking Non 3Ds firmware for the DS-2 Flash Card

I just got a new DS-2 card and it is blank. my question is where do I get the latest non 3Ds firmware for it and how do I install it, I think I know how to install it but I just want to make sure

It was 1.09 non 3ds firmware. Then they released firmware 1.10.

that is wrong.
the latest DS2 firmware is 1.08, which is the update that makes DS2 compatible with the 3DS but has a bug that causes the CPU to lock up.
the latest EOS is 1.10, which is also just a 3DS update, but it's safe to update to this with no problems.

I don't understand why you want the non-3ds firmware. The card should work fine with it on dslite/dsi, the icon looks better too.

It's blank? Strange... Mine was not.

That's not strange at all. It is illegal in some countries to get it shipped with software (and especially ROMs), if I remember correctly.

people use EOS and firmware interchangeably..

also right now i wouldn't recommend firmware v1.08. They found a glitch in it remember? And as i know they haven't found a patch for it. So i would keep with

firmware v1.05
EOS v1.10 (or v1.09)

Mine was one of the first to be released & it wan't 'blank' & the LE-DS2 also wasn't blank - but others MAY be blank

That is weird. So far, I've updated my DS2 to firmware 1.08, and I haven't had a single issue. Though I haven't played it a lot or used homebrew, so maybe I should just continue going. But I hope they release a fix soon.

they use it mistakenly.
EOS is the kernel/software. firmware is the.. firmware.

if EOS is "also known as" firmware, then what is the firmware known as? hardware?

I noticed a lot of noobfail in this thread, just wanted to clear stuff up.

1.08 is firmware, 1.10 EOS is software.
The firmware is separate from the EOS.
The 3DS firmware for the DStwo is compatible with the DS, DS lite, DSi, DSi XL, and the 3DS.
The Supercard team has been shipping blank DStwos ever since EOS 1.09.
The blank DStwos require installing the firmware before use.
