until the quarintine goes away I can't buy the torox screwdrivers to rescue an old HDD of a mac I have and 2.5" HDD's are well off budget.

Will try the SD again.
what speed is your sd?

Testing some more, I found that the issue occurs in the same way with the NTSC-U GameCube version, at least in Dolphin, and I predict that it works (in the same wrong way) in Nintendont as well. If anyone wants to test with their own setup, I have my save files for NTSC-U and PAL Twilight Princess.
To test, exit to the northwest from the area that you find yourself in when you start the save file, and crawl into a tunnel located on the left side of the following area. Listen carefully to how the music doesn't start right away as it should after Link wakes up in the following cutscene.
On the PAL save, choose the third save slot.
tryed turning unlock read speed to on? maybe that helps or not, but its just a tiny error i doubt anyone will ever fix it.

I tried that, but it didn't make a difference. Yeah, I doubt that anyone will fix this, I just think that it's weird that Nintendont and Dolphin have the same error. It's just frustrating that it's so close to perfect. Thank you for your help.

Keep in mind that Dolphin is an emulator whereas Nintendont isn't so you can't really compare the two.

I know that, it just seems highly unusual that they have the exact same error.
EDIT: I tested with a known slow SD card and the incorrect timing was exactly the same.
EDIT2: Would anybody else mind testing to make sure that I'm not crazy?

I am having a problem getting the legend of zelda four swords adventure working with nintendont. I can play other games using it. I have tried ripping my disc and reinstalling it. I have also tried using a using an iso I found online. They all just make the wii shut down? Anyone have a suggestion or had this problem before?

download igor hashware and check your isos against redump.org data.

If they match then check if you wrote the title of the folder correctly (Game name [GAMEID]) and you renamed the .iso file game.iso

Disable wide screen patch just in case.

that is extremely slow...

i use a class 10 32gb sdhc card or an self powered hdd, both did the disc swap so yeah the problem on your end is really speed with the usb stick and sd card they probably are extremely slow.

I will try that and get back to you. I ripped the disc using USB loader gx
when the wii shuts down means a corrupt file you either have
corrupted iso
corrupted save file created for that iso(check your saves folder for a zero kb file and delete it)

Does it mean I have to hack vWii first? Or can I just use Nintendont forwarder after booting Haxchi? I'm trying to find this loader, some guy uploaded it on Youtube and Reddit, but both links are dead.

i dont think you need vwii hacked but for that you would need to make a vwii inject on wiiu mode with nintendont, i have the channel installed but i dont recall where i got it from either ...

Would my saves folder be on my SD card, or external hard drive, or wii memory? I looked on the SD card and only see a folder called "savegames". All of my roms are on my external hard drive. Nintendont is installed on the SD card.

Nintendont puts saves where ever the ISOs are stored.

Pedro702 and ccfman2004. Thank you guys so much. The corrupt save file was right were you said it would be. It had the same game id as the game I was trying to play. I will remember this if it happens again. I thought the iso was corrupt and kept messing with that. Thank you for all your help. 16 years after buying this game, I now finally have a player 2 to play with, my 7 year old son asked me a couple of weeks ago if I had any 2 player zelda games. So, here it is.

will try the card later just in case I was dealing with a bad self dump, Dolphin is not... reliable given how insanely picky its being with the TOS saves.

I just made a raw backup with GCMM (of a 3rd-Party 1024 blocks Memory Card). But how excatly can I use it with Nintendont? The readme file does not help me.

Does the game have to be on the same storage device as the raw backup? My games are on a USB hard drive, while I put the backup on the SD card (for now).

The file needs to be named "ninraw.bin" for NTSC-U/ PAL saves or "ninrawj.bin" for Japan saves and located in the "saves" folder on the root of the device that holds the ISOs. Then in Nintendont settings set the emuMC to "Multi".

So I've had an issue trying to play Lord of the Rings: Two Towers, I've just been trying to make a full GameCube library and testing every game.

Problem is, it hangs on a black screen after saying "Loading".

I tested the checksums, they match.

I ran it on dolphin, it ran fine.

My Nintendont version is the latest I believe. 5.486 (December 18th, 2018) Firmware 58.24.32

I also checked the compatibility list and noted to keep both Widescreen and progressive off. When doing this, I still got the hanging black screen. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. My Wii is 4.3U with all required cIOS's. What do I do now?
