I've got this working the way I want as I found a WiiU frontend that will allow me to launch from the WiiU menu and play entirely on the gamepad. However, I'v got a couple problems:

1. about 1/5th of the time I launch Nintendont I just get a black screen. The crash is so bad I have to unplug the WiiU.

2. Updating via Nintendont menu works fine for Nontendont - however, downloading title.txt, controllers.zip, or gcn_md5.txt causes a hard crash.

Has anyone been able to load Resident Evil 4?
Nintendont on Wii just won't load RE4 even when the compatibility list says it does work.

:(

What drawbacks are there, switching from GameCube vWii injects to a single Wii U forwarder and SD loading? Can I keep auto gamepad controls, and dual TV + gamepad video?

If you make Nintendon't with Teconmoons tool then yes you will be able to run games with the gamepad I'm not sure if there's a premade version out there but it's easy enough to patch and run

I have a small, annoying issue.
I use both official Classic Controller and one licensed PDP Samus Edition classic controller inside a Wii Remote Plus.
I can play just fine for some moments, then the button assignments magically change for no reason, the A button starts to act as the X, the B becomes Y and so on.
The workaround is to disconnect and reconnect the controller.

Did you accidentally press the MINUS button? this swaps the A and B buttons.

Probably, hitting accidentally. Thanks for explaining. I didnt know there was a way to change the buttons using a Classic Controller. I knew it had this option using the Wii Remote + Nunchuk because ithe lack of buttons, but not for the CC.

That's how I have it now.. unfortunately, each injected GameCube game takes up 1/300 of Wii U's precious slots, and I already have a ton of injected Wii games. Ideally, I'd like to just have 1 Nintendont forwarder, to replace all those individual GameCube injects. But the question is, will I lose GamePad controller support, and GameCube video on the GamePad?

Yes you loose GamePad controller support. You can only view audio/video using the GamePad when using a Forwarder. Unless something has changed.

I have exactly the same problem!
Did you get a solution?
I manually updated title.txt and gcn_md5.txt on the PC, but I'm not sure if controllers.zip is in the same folder as the other two. I just put the zip file there without extracting it first.
Path: F:\Nintendont\Apps\Nintendont

i cant get MGS:TW to switch disks, it freezes on logo after disk changing instructions go away. i use a 512kb multi memiry card on a usb helper created inject.

:(
if it doesnt start there can be several things,
corrupt memory card created for the game.
imcompatible forced settings on start up
bad iso

Finally figured it out! It's was the memory card emulation that cause the crash!! You either disable it or enable multi card!
go to your saves folder, it must have created a bad raw file see the 0kb one there and delete it and try again ...

make sure you have the lest amount of settings enabled since switching dics takes alot of recources, turn everything off or auto except mcemu and then try it.

what? you loose USB loading but not SD loading.

Thanks.. bummer though.

i got a fowarder for vwii inject that runs nintendont and reads all the gmes through th e sd and i play them on the gamepad...

injstead of making a inject with an iso inside you kust make it load nintendont dol and it will read games from SD, sure it cant read usb but you can have gamepad controls and videos and load games from sd using a vwii inject forwarder from day one.

So yes buy a big sd card put all your gc isos there and leavue the wiiu memory for other stuff.

turns out i used a trimmed iso for disk2, disk swapping requires 1:1 iso

{suggestion} @FIX94 if rumble cant be simulated on gamepad, can you at least use the home button blue led as an alternative?
also is it possible to always start the games in Mono, without having to go into the GC bios menu and changing it from stereo every-time?
