I noticed that sometimes when using the PAL IPL with Sonic Heroes, the GameCube startup sound is muted. The game sounds and the normal IPL sounds (if I hold A to get to the IPL) work fine, though. This might just be an issue with my TV, since it's switching from 480p to 576i when starting the IPL. (If I press R+Z+Start to do a soft reset during the startup animation, there *is* sound after it resets.) I'll test it on other devices later.

Anyways, finishing up the PR for the FatFS branch, and then you get to review a bunch of commits. :D
New test build on the way? =)
Nintendont is now officially in major version 4! Make sure to read the NEWS.md to find out more about all the changes since the last major version.
Congrats on this achievement! Nintendont is surely one of the absolute best homebrew for the original Wii.

I cannot reach the website that contains the file to check if your usb controller is compatible, can anyone give me a download or something? Thanks!

The exFAT branch has been merged to master.

I have some other various build system fixes in a local branch that I need to clean up and merge, plus a cosmetic improvement to the loader that rescales the background image to use the correct aspect ratio if the system is set to widescreen.

Got my first problem fixed although am a little confused, what do I do to test my controller do i JUST need the boot.dol? or do I need an ini file too and I'm not sure how to make one if I do. It's a third party gamecube usb controller same buttons as a reg one. And can't check right now but if my hdd can work with usb loader gx would it be fine with nintendont (it might be formatted as a ntfs is that alright? And not sure how to check partition table but I'm guessing ti should be fine?)?

Not sure if my sdcard is slightly currupt, I keep getting error -3 when dl the controllers.zip, titles.txt dls fine without any error though.

What is the resolution of the triforce games?, judging by the nintendont osd I get a perfect fit for width at 676-678
without any bording pixels for virtua striker 4 2006 on my 1080 tv, but the bottom of the screen is cropped like it's zoomed in slightly the height is wrong, here's quick edit of an online image to show the issue.

Also did any of the over triforce games get dumped?
Donkey Kong Jungle Fever
Donkey Kong: Banana Kingdom
Gekitou Pro Yakyuu
Starfox
The Key Of Avalon 2
The Key Of Avalon : The Wizard Master
The Key Of Avalon Ver.1.20 : Summon The New Monsters

While we are already at the topic of triforce, today I finally looked at the problem of GP2 not having any music in attract mode and I was able to fix that up :)

Maybe still today or tomorrow I'll release it, its a mess right now.

I wish you'd add a option to preselect the current gamepad profile, when playing gp2 for example I miss setting up the intial screens because I can't switch the profile properly / quick enough, it maps accelerate to the nunchuck tilt so it confirms stuff before I have chance to switch the profile to a better setup.

Well i kinda solved my previous post, basically i need my hdd to be formatted to ntfs or else it just doesn't work with usb loader gx and I have a lot of data on it if I were to switch, but Nintendont wants fat32 so it kinda conflicts. Is there some kind of fork or work around?

so many changes today its crazy! guess you are in luck things went that well today ;)
-starting mario kart arcade gp and gp 2 through their main function now, this allows them to do more startup checks and also fixes some issues the games had such as the not correctly working attract mode in gp 2, now they should work exactly as you would expect

Service menu options aren't saving to the card, I tried setting mph to speedometer option but it kept resetting back to kph.
Virtua Striker 4 2006 also fails it's card test saying no r/w card present, in-game it comes up with the message card not accepted temporally.
Left direction sometimes becomes stuck too with only up,down, right being movable, I kept doing donuts for about 30 seconds until it unstuck, same thing happen virtua striker 4 2006 I couldn't move left.

Settings in the GP games are hardcoded so whatever you do gets lost anyways.

crediar never got the card to work and I didnt see a pattern in it as well so yea, it might never happen.

very much depends on how you initially calibrate it, the game does some very weird calculations so it all depends on how much you turn it around in the beginning.

You can still override them with cheat codes though?

What exactly is the card used for?, it's saving my service options unlike mk, and my team position in tourdaments is saved too.

if you know how to make one then ...probably I guess?

The normal sega games use a specific backup memory mechanism which I did manage to reverse engineer and write my own functions doing the same but actually saving it to a file and restoring from it, took me days. That mechanism does not exist in that form in gp or gp2 since they are namco games.

Ok.
The screen height issuse is most noticeable on "others" section of mk test menu, where it says
"press test button" you can only see the first quarter of the letters.

something on your tv is doing overscan then because this is the raw picture I get in virtua striker 4 ver 2006:
TV2016061904284200.png
and this is the raw picture from that gp test menu:
TV2016061904311300.png
all just taken directly from my tv card svideo input, captured in the full 720x480 the wii outputs.

USB Loader GX works fine with FAT32.

I much appreciate the work you and SuperrSonic put into this, after all the negativity we had in the early days of the development of this software it's refreshing to see some people working on this thing who don't consider Sonic games on the console to be a total waste of time, all I can say is thank you.

I am using nintendont version 4.408. I wanted to know if there was a way to have settings for each seperate gamecube game on its own instead of universal settings. I have the ntsc version of resident evil code veronica and i have the nintendont settings for video width set to 680 so games will fill the full screen on my tv.

This is fine for every game but resident evil code veronica since it pushes the screen to the far left with a large black bar on the right side of the screen. It looks like this is the only game that i have this problem with.
