I'm just trying to clarify before I buy one. I can use the Wii U pro controller to play GC games on a Wii, correct?
indeed, sync it in the wii menu just as you would with wiimotes and while it wont work there it will then work in nintendont.

Hey, is there a forwarder for Nintendont? ATM the only thing I do with my Wii is play Nintendont with my DS2, and Priiloader black screens when I set the Installed File to Nintendont but I hear a Nintendont forwarder may be better. Is there any Nintendont forwarder I can use for Priiloader?

It's in the OP under "Installing Nintendont". You need Priiloader 0.8+ to autoboot dols that require AHB_PROT turned off.

I've noticed that Priiloader (.81) can't autoboot to Wii channels and can only autoboot to .dol's. How can I use it to autoboot to the Nintendont forwarder?

Hmm... you'd have to either find a dol of it (or compile it or extract it from the wad.)

I just compiled the source in the archive in the OP. Try this: <removed, doesn't work>

This is the Wii version, not vWii, but I don't think you can use Priiloader on vWii anyway.

Putting it in the apps folder in a "nintendontforwarder" folder and renaming it to "boot.dol" did show up the Nintendont main image but it said "Failed to load kernel from nand" (something a straight up boot of Nintendont doesn't do). Oh well, I'll just settle on bootmii.

If you're wondering, the reason I want this is because it'd save me the inconvenience of switching up the port my GCN controller is in (need it in port 1 to get to Nintendont from HBC, then gotta move it to port 2 so that my PS2 controller gets treated as controller 1, and so on).

Hopefully you have some more advice but if not that's okay.

You know you can navigate HBC with a Wiimote, right? So you can leave your other controller plugged in port 1.

Ah ok. I just did a quick search and here is some advice from about a year ago about the same problem.

With priiloader 0.8b you should be able to install nintendont's dol directly in priiloader autoboot menu, as it provides AHB access.
but you can't auto-update nintendont, it will try to find your boot device to update the file and it will probably fail.

If your Wii is connected to the Internet you should be able to boot up PriiLoader, go into settings and try to an update to the latest Beta version. Then try installing the main Nintendont.dol file in PriiLoader.

Cyan had a good point though that if you install the main dol that way you won't be able to auto update nintendont. When I new update comes out you would have to download the new dol file and manually install the update into PriiLoader again.

it's better to install forwarders in priiloader's install menu.
that way, you can update the dol on SD and priiloader will always launch the latest dol.

if you install a program in priiloader, it will launch an outdated version at console boot, while the updated version is on SD.

Thanks @Cyan but I think the issue he was having is finding a nintendont forwarder that is a .dol file and not a .wad since PriiLoader can only install .dol files.

he can extract the dol from one of the two wad forwarders linked in the first post.
Though, I don't know if that forwarder will grant AHB access.

It would be better a channel launcher to the installed forwarder channel. I don't think there's one.

(sorry, I didn't follow the conversation here, just came when you tagged me :p)

Lol. That's fine. Just did a quick search for a similar problem and saw your post so I thought I would mention it here.

I compiled the LXVS forwarder dol and posted it. It doesn't go in the apps folder. Put it on your SD and install it into Priiloader. If it still doesn't work then it's the forwarder that's the problem. (I used it for a few days once and it always froze to a black screen after exiting Nintendont.)

Hi, I'm very sorry if this has been asked before, but I use Nintendont on my vWii with the official GC controller adapter. I was playing smash bros melee and noticed that when I partially push down a shoulder button, it registers it as a full press. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so it would register as a half press instead of a full, as I am planning on getting Super Mario Sunshine, and the half press is a very important aspect of that game. I saw that on the Pro Controller you can enable the shoulder buttons to act as half presses, but saw nothing on the GC adapter. Also, if I did use the pro controller, would z get mapped somewhere else or be gone altogether? Thank you!

I'll give it a try. What's the link to it?

And just to make sure we're on the same page, it's okay that I'm using .81 and not .8b right?
