intense 4am changes from me, I just wanted to get it done and now its so late:
-added proper majoras mask audio patch so now the ocarina confirm and the credits work properly
-cleaned up patch.c and removed the the read limiter for the n64 by default to improve its overall performance
-added a n64 emu check which should work no matter which game id you use

Holy balls! Nintendont 64 is reality now!
Thank you very much :grog:

Keep in mind that 99% of N64 games will run like crap.

Hah, at least it will get better performances :P
that is true, without the read limit removal for example mario kart 64 has pretty heavy sound problems and cracking as well as quite some slowdowns, without it runs at a totally playable speed as you might've seen on my recent vid.

Somehow I knew this would happen, thanks Fix94, do you think you could look at the AGB Emulator sometime too? I'm more interested in that since compatibility is very high if it's not for the lack of a save feature.

I tested the MC and the issue is still present but only during the bios screen and with first party MCs, if you remove and reinsert the MC AFTER the game starts then it works fine, switching to another game without shutting off the Wii seems to work fine too.

Edit: testing my third party MC seems to work fine but my first party ones have the issue, they don't seem to have any issues with the official Mios and they didn't have issues with DM so I guess it's the first party ones that are affected.

the only that that fixed was a new mc card unlock code for luigi mansion ntsc and one of the bios, everything else is still the same.

So do these N64 Emulator changes auto-inject N64 roms, or are the changes to detect the emulator and improve performance by disabling read limit?
If it is auto-inject, do we put the N64 ROMs in the same place as the GameCube isos?

The change does not auto-inject N64 roms. It just detects if you are starting a game that has an N64 emu inside of it regardeless of it's game ID. Before, the patches that need to be there for the N64 emu to work were only applied to the games that have the N64 emu inside based on their game ID if I understood correctly. So if you changed the game ID of such a game, the patches for the emu would not get applied

Well at least I found a workaround for the moment "remove the MC on the bios screen and reinstall it when the game is on, only need to do it once during a run" but I really really hope for an option to enable and disable the bios at will, this might fix a lot of problems especially if it was added as an individual option for each game in loaders.

Hi,

How force progressive scan work for pal games? Every time I tried to force progressive in a way or another (i.e. force progressive and/or force pal/ntsc 480p) I got a freeze with every game.

Hello all. Recently got around to getting nintendont and a few triforce games + NFS Carbon works on it so thats cool.

For Mario Kart Arcade GP (1) it takes forever to save, is that normal? I got tired of waiting and held down Z to exit as i heard powering down while saving can cause corruption.

Also MKAGP1 is somehow set to auto boot and i can't seem to disable it. I can set NFS Carbon settings & F-Zero AX settings on Nintendont, but as for both MKAGP's they don't appear in the game list. I think it has to do with the 114 games installed, 111 of those i installed from my own disc. I'll try renaming the games folder and making a new one with just MKAGP see if that works or maybe attribute changer for time stamps.

So in short, is MKAGP1 supposed to take a couple of minutes or more to save? I had it set to 1019 blocks if that helps, lowered it to 251 now.
Is there a way to disable auto boot within nintendont for all games? (Not one at a time)

mkgp doesnt use gc memory cards so the slots are pointless, the game saves almost instantly but you need to shut down the console since the arcade is waiting for you to remove the carrd to end your session. So yeah wait like 5 seconds and then exit mkgp, you should only save when you want to shut down the game since thats how it worked on the arcade you cant just save on every thing since after saving you ened your session and removed the card.

Oh, that is a relief. So when you say it saves instantly, do you mean at any given time, after a race, or after 5 seconds of the saving screen. Sorry i just have no experience with nintendont or triforce games... Really hard to find answers on google as well.

Thanks for helping me out.

obviosly it only saves on the save screen after afew seconds i usualy wait 5 or 6 seconds and then shut it off by exiting the game or just powering the console off by doing a simple clikc on he power button, becuase we cant take the card out like the machine wants xD

it will not work, you need the NTSC games to let it work properly.
Anyways off topic, did I mention how awesome extrems and game boy interface is in its latest version?
