Could you add a feature so that you have to hold the home button for about 5 seconds before you get sent back to the loader? My sister accidentally press the home button and we lost 1 hour of progress.
I do it all the time. So frustrating. I'm still want the in-game sub menu when you press Home so you can have options instead of it reloading to HBC or another loader.

Good idea! I'll add it to the wishlist!

1. Swiss' Widescreen sprite patching
2. 4:3/16:9 aspect ratio setting
3. Ability to take screenshots and record video
4. Home menu

@the_randomizer "I'm about to be forced to move back home with your parents"
That made me giggle

Good for you...? Knowing that people laugh at my hardships sure helps. I was trying to point out that my situation isn't good and that I can't afford to buy a 2nd Wii U; if I had the money, I would've done so by now, so until I get a job, I can't auto update Nintendont, I don't see the point.

@Troopage another feature (at least until all games are supported) - game separate settings, so you don't have to keep changing them for games that do/don't support widescreen, 480p etc

@Troopage i can't even afford a lone wii-u second hand. I'm jobless and live with my parents too, overdrawn with my bank and can't get another loan for my next year of uni's tuition cause of some bullshit. I was only having a chuckle at the sudden change in grammar making it seem like you intended to move in with drak's parents. Though if they're your brother or smth then i apologise. Moments like that is why i try and refrain from talking in the second person personally

@Bimmel i fell on my head repeatedly as a child and have the scars to prove it, actually. I nearly died from the one that left me with a scar on my forehead and had me called harry potter through high school :|

Cheers, always wondered what the point in using the loader was. I find nintendonts gui to be ample enough on its own. I'll give it a shot though when i have a chance

Alright, I'll add FIFO dumping to the wishlist, but BBA/modem is already in the OP as seen below, so I'm not going to put it in the wishlist.

Nintendont Wishlist
  • Swiss' Widescreen sprite patching
  • 4:3/16:9 aspect ratio setting
  • Ability to take screenshots and record video
  • Home menu
  • FIFO dumping
Features Nintendont doesn't support yet:
  • BBA/Modem support
  • Dual ports support DO NOT CONNECT TWO DRIVES AT THE SAME TIME! (even a WiiU Formated drive). It will either not boot, or corrupt your savegames.

Having the "spare" (+5 v lead) connected to say, a phone charger would act the same way.
My point is that issues like those found in that *icantrememberwhich* Bond game should be looked after instead of just being accepted and dealt like that guy told the other guy to.
That will eventually (much sooner than you would think) kill the drive and then you can expect a lot of users blaming this app over here (and they KINDA should, after all the advice to "just unplug it" came from these boards)
That's true. Either way, mixing power sources over USB like that can cause problems. So if anyone wants to try that as a solution, they should read up on doing that and make sure they have a stable secondary power source.

So i made a multi iso disc, but whenever i try to launch the disc, it says that the disc isn't a gc disc. I'm launching nintendont from the forwarder wad on the home menu.

Nintendont was never intended to be more then a way of playing GameCube games on Wii's that can't natively play GameCube games and the Wii U. Even the current background and Bios loading was frowned upon by some devs.

On another note, what's FIFO ripping?

heres something which annoyed me for quite a while so I fixed it up:
-added some code to allow real discs on wii to actually be taken out and placed back in, should allow for things like disc switching with actual discs

Not something I could benifit from, but I'm glad to see regular Wii still gets some respect after these years, well done.

God knows how much I want that, yes, yes, and more YES!

^ I would like a screenshot feature :)

other than that, nintendont is mostly complete.
I'm all for that, seconded here.

Wired xbox 360 controller support wishlist. I think it works for devolution so it might be possible with nintendont also maybe.

Agreed, especially since I have more Xbox 360 controllers than PS3, and because the 360 controller is far more comfortable than the shitty PS3 controller with the analog stick at the bottom, seriously why won't they ever fix that?

On a side note, I was thinking earlier, many Gamecube titles suffered from bad framerate, especially multiplatform thrid party games like Crash Bandicoot TWoC and Sonic Heroes "2P mode" this probably is impossible to be implemented, but would it be possible to make like a patch or an option to make these games run with a better framerate without having them to run fast with Nintendont?

Another thing to ask, and I'm being serious here, but how different is the N64 to the Gamecube from a technician perspective? I'd really love it if N64 support was ever planned, even if it was its own app instead, there are many games I'd like to play or revisit, Rayman 2: The Great Escape, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjoo and Kazoi, Mischief Makers, and some Super Mario 64 hacks, now I know the obvious answer "if you want it make it yourself" so no need to point that out, I was simply asking a question :p

The N64 is a completely different system whereas the GameCube, Wii and Wii U share some hardware like the CPU architecture and GPU architecture. The Wii is basically a faster GameCube and the Wii U is basically a faster Wii.

Most N64 games run really badly on the Wii even some official Virtual console games. There just simply isn't enough system RAM to do it.
