Is this still a thing? I'm thinking of buying an extra HDD for Wii U games (my Wii U internal storage is at its limits...) but I really don't want to disconnect one of the HDD every time I run Nintendon't... I also have younger siblings and they disconnect anything in the Wii U is out of question. :P

In an ideal world, there should be a way to partition a WiiU formated drive but Nintendo doesn't give a shit for it and people here say it's not possible to achieve it atm (not without hacking Wii U mode).
yes its still a thing and probably will always be, so you have to work around that yourself with your siblings.

I imagine you are referring to the My Passport Ultra line of hard drives, which do have encryption. The WD Elements Portable line does not have encryption and the one I got a few months ago works fine.
Well, I actually got one of those WD My Passport Ultra 2TB drives (this one) and it works fine with Nintendont. Tested with 2.299 and 3.338. In fact, I actually added the FAT32 partition to the end of the drive after the default NTFS partition. The Homebrew Channel didn't read it, but Nintendont picked the FAT32 partition up fine when I booted it from the sdcard and selected USB. Windows reports it as 512 bytes per sector and 4k bytes per physical sector.

more workarounds today, not the prettiest of works but its solutions for some problems.
-removed majoras mask sound workaround again, its too unstable to be used right now
-added workaround for midway arcade treasures 2 initial beeping by initializing sound engine on the intro video begin
-added workaround for powerpuff girls ntsc and pal missing video sound

Actually, in an ideal world we could use WiiUs file system format to run our backups etc.
What is it? exFAT? FAT32? a mod of any of those? I'm guessing something similar to ext?

why don't we run our backups over the network? (You can do that with PS2)
no more filesystem issues :-) (all filesystems issues are now the server's problem)
because the wii wifi chip is the most unstable piece of s**t there is, loading a game would probably take you several minutes if the game wouldnt decide to kick you out beforehand.

Over wired would probably be worse. Yeah, it would be a bit more stable, but the bandwidth of the USB LAN adapters are terrible. Nintendont would probably have to "pause" whenever the game requests data from the "disc".

What is the best setup for Savegames? Multi or Individual and what memcard size?

nearly every gc game works with the default setup I decided to be the standard, single memory cards 2mb each, that is small enough compared to the game itself and works quick so I personally would see no reason to switch that up (of course you will need to if your game needs even more than 2mb).

Game : Mario Sunshine

Describe Issue : Classic controller pro ZL,ZR,L and R not mapped correctly. And halfway down modifier for the analoge doesnt work
"L" Gamecube should be "ZL" on Classic pro
"R" Gamecube should be "ZR" on Classic pro
"Z" Gamecube should be "R" on Classic pro
Halfway modifier should be "L" on Classic pro

This issue is making games like Mario Sunshine unplayable with Classic pro controller. Because the halfway down modifier dont work.

Region : PAL console, NTSC game

Wii/Wii U : Wii U

Nintendont revision : 3.334 Latest with updated titles and controllers

Last known working revision (if any) : NA

Loader used (if any) with revision no. : Wiiflow

SD/USB Pen/USB HDD : USB HDD

SD/USB Pen/USB HDD make, model, size, format & cluster size : NA

ISO 1:1/compressed : ISO 1:1

McEmu/Real Mem card and size : 251

Native on/off : Off

Controller used if Native off : original wiimote with 3. Party classic controller pro

Composite/Component/HDMI: HDMI

Anything else you want to explain: tried launching from HBC , still same issue

Edit: tried deleting entire Nintendont folder and redownloaded everything, still the same

Edit2: Got it sorted out. It was my 3.party Classic pro controller that tells the Wii that its an regular classic controller, had to make change to the source code and compile an new version that ignores all classic controllers and connects them all as classic pro controller. Read the next few posts for more info.

I had my Zelda file on the multi and all other games were individual saves. Used memcard manger from Dolphin to rip the save. Running all savegames on individual now.

Could you elaborate on your issue? Are you trying to say that buttons are mapped "backwards"? I just tried it and everything seems to work fine. Though "backwards", but it's better that way cause the "triggers" are zL and zR.

Yes they are backwards/upside down and the halfway down modifier arent working for me.

So its working for you to run and spray water in Mario Sunshine?

Yeah. It works.
But IMHO, like I said I don't consider the triggers being "backwards" a bad thing... It would be kinda awkward the other way around..

Hmm, cant get the halfway down modifier to work, on the first page it says "L", but thats button already mapped, and ZL doesnt do anything for me.

Mmmm... If I'm not mistaken your CC pro appears to be generic/3rd party.
If that's the case that could be the problem.
In any case try deleting the "controllers" folder on the root of your HDD (If you ave one) and re-downloading from NINTENDONT.
Or even better just delete both, the "controllers" folder and the whole NINTENDONT folder in "apps" and start from scratch.
The L is working properly as far as I can tell.

Ok, tried deleting the entire Nintendont folder and redownloaded latest from first post and then downloaded controllers from nintendont. Still the same :(
