If your using a Wii with gamecube ports then you should turn on native controls.

If your using the official Wii U adapter then the bongos still are WIP

Well I've had a freak out moment now. I turned on native controls for the game, and it caused a black screen. When I went back to the app, it said there was no folder for the drive. Apparently something in the settings messed up my entire drive, so I'm trying to recover everything in it now.

Remember that a cheat is not a patch, a cheat just dynamically overwrites certain values on every frame the game runs so it just resets the timer over and over again, a patch actually modifies the game code so something like a timer doesnt even start. That makes most cheats pretty much useless from a permanent patch perspective.
I didn't know that, so a true timer patch cannot be implemented for F-Zero? btw I don't know if this matters but the cheat makes the timer all disappear in menus much like with the patches in Mario Kart rather than freezing it or adding numbers constantly.

thats why you do a search for the console of which the game is on.the only real accidents is miss-reading (rushing and not reading fully)

Oh trust me, I know that one :) Every time google screws up like that I shake my head and think "Where the bloody 'ell did word XXXXX come into this search?"

I still had the aforementioned bug with 283 with PSO3 actually, though PSO 1+2 Plus worked fine (could just be that the bug isn't triggered every time). The bug was apparently introduced sometime after 273 because that revision works flawlessly with both as it used to.

For me, the bug only triggers with the use of component a/v cables in 2.284 or higher. Since no one else has stated if they also use them or if they use composite a/v cables instead I have no idea if their bug is the same type.

how exactly do you start wiiflow? you should use the priiloader loader and have the forwarder from the channel installer if you use priiloader.

I have Wiiflow installed on the SD card which I have it also on the System Menu as a shortcut. From my understanding this is the best way instead of as a channel so I read. As for how I start it, I tested it 3 ways: 1) From the Homebrew Channel, 2) Wiiflow from system menu and 3) In priiloader autoboot using the Wiiflow forwarder dol file. Each of them gives me the same ahbprot disable error message.

And just to repeat as my initial posts are couple pages back, standalone nintendont launches fine by itself through the homebrew channel. I do no have nintendont on the system menu. Also using USB Loader GX, it launches nintendont to the gamecube games just fine without error.

There are many different fixes I have seen for this but none worked so far. I do have the meta with the ahbprot access tag in the nintendont meta file. I have also put it in manually in the wiiflow meta file. Another post said that it could be the ios58 version. I checked it in HBC and it shows IOS58 v25.32. Any other pointers would be nice.

I know the feeling. When I would search for Yu-Gi-Oh! Cards, I would get tons of results for Magic the Gathering or Baseball cards. How does Yu-Gi-Oh! translate to Magic the Gathering or Baseball?

Just got over the Flu so I haven't tried the latest revision of Nintendont but it just keeps getting better. I am wondering about the Hard Drive issues. I wonder if the problem is with the external enclosure and not the HDD itself. After all they all use various SATA controllers. Sometimes even the supposedly same external drive may use different SATA controllers as it may depend on what was the cheapest the external enclosure maker could get. I already have a PNY USB 2.0 64GB Flash Drive that doesn't work with Nintendont.

Thats kind of a "static cheat".
Of course, its your baby; you enjoy doing it is all that matters.
I could see the widescreen hacks are handy and as a "work around" for the original widescreen hack problems.
I don't play triforce games so I can't comment on it but like mentioned above, you enjoy doing it is all that matters.

The thing is , if a specific user start asking for specific cheat for a specific game, there will always be users that don't like the cheat and ask for its removal or adding options. Other users may also ask for more cheats and that could be endless.
Like others has said, its best to play games as it was designed (using cheat is a personal preference), patching only to overcome problems that have not been "emulated" properly yet.

And think about it, what is the joy of just keying in some pre-made cheats than to explore for more bugs or cheats by the dev himself. If you are so keen into it, you may as well learn how to add them and compile the source yourself.

You sound like I was the first to request such a thing but there were several requests before from other people asking him to hard code certain codes and he did apply them, it's not like it matters wither these codes are implemented or not, but I can't help but feel he's been purposely ignoring my reports and requests due to having an issue with me, if that's the case it's up to him but I really don't remember ever doing or saying anything that offended anybody here.

Can you link me to the actual model you have in amazon?

Same with you?

I'm going to be getting a new HDD and wanted one that didn't work for experimental purposes

I have to find the box to get the exact model number. I bought it at Microcenter on sale.

Good old Microcenter. I tend to get a lot of my stuff there, like the SD cards and USB enclosures I use with my Wii. (And the usb bluetooth adapter I got to use a DualShock 3 with PSO 2)

LOL, I don't know you, I am not even sure if you are a kid, aldult, male or female. Why should I finger pointing at you.

Your post just come at the "right time", the "right moment" that I think I would "rant" about.

One last rant: no one is interested in "serving" "non-paying" "customers" unless there is something in the service that arouse his own interest.
