I have USB Loader GX r1233 and last Nintendont version (it says mounted on 02/01/15) and I still have the "this nintendont version does not support games on usb" error. What can I do?

Has anyone gotten wave race to work? It's an audio streaming title but it's the only game that black screens on me. It's green on the compatibility list so I have no idea what's wrong.

The first post says that to use memory card emulation, the RAW file needs to be the same as the game id and placed in the saves folder on the root of the USB drive. In USB loader GX, however, when I set memory card emulation to "Individual" and boot up a gamecube game for the first time and format the "memory card," nintendont creates a RAW file that is the first 4 letters of the Game ID rather than the full Game ID. I am now manually creating RAW files to transfer all my memory card data onto my USB drive and I am confused whether to use the full Game ID for the RAW files or just the first 4 letters?

Sonic mega collection only has sound issues?
I would not call them sound issues, sometimes when loading a game it starts without audio and bringing the quit menu freezes the gameplay but one can still exit; this does not happen if the game starts with audio.
If it starts with audio it will gradually desync until the audio distorts and tries to get back in sync.

The PM fix has been mentioned multiple times so I must be missing something but why has it not been added yet? Don't want to sound ungrateful, just curious.

Don't use individual? Just use one file; it saves space, if you have a problem with a specific game then use individual.
But to answer your question just use what Nintendont reads and forget the op, 4 is generally enough because of the region code.

I don't know if this has been requested but how about a way that that HID and Native Controls can't be both ON simultaneously and/or removing Native Controls option when on a Wii U? Or maybe combining those options to "Controller Style: HID/Bluetooth / Native GameCube / Emulated(Default)" or something to that effect as new people don't seem to understand what Native Controls really is and turn it on anyway when using an HID/Bluetooth controller even on a Wii U or Non GC Wii's. I've seen it asked too many times where the user has both Native Controls and HID both on and can't understand why their HID/Bluetooth Controller doesn't work.
the best place to be proposing this is in the loaders. Nintendont is not a loader, the menues it has are intended for testing and debugging. Because the loaders can set the options concurrently Nintendont needs the ability to set and display those combinations for testing. You also would need to include maxpads in trying to create the list. Nintendont already displays 6 different controller combinations when booting.

Using ONLY NATIVE Gamecube Ports
Using Gamecube and HID Ports
Using Gamecube, HID, and BT Ports
Using Gamecube and BT Ports
Using HID and Bluetooth Ports
Using Bluetooth Ports

If you have it setting maxpads instead of just using it you get 12 different useable combinations and another 8 that have options that conflict.

On another newbie note: How about having Nintendont automatically copy the "controller.ini" or "Controllers" folder to USB or SD if the user chooses a device and the controller ini's don't exist there but they do on the device where Nintendont was launched from as users still keep putting them in the wrong device.

This would have the unintended consiquence of the user thinking they did it correctly. Then when they go to update the file they will be updating the wrong file.

Also when the user asks about where to get "controller.zip" from, we should give both options of downloading directly from Nintendont and the web address where it's located as some users either don't have WiFi set up (to prevent people from updating the Wii/Wii U) or have issues (like me sometimes) with downloading files from Nintendont.

It just seems like too many new users are either confused and/or lazy about reading the first post.

The 2 things are related. In the first post it already explains all methods of getting the controller files. If we were just to tell people to read the first post instead of giving answers that are more on point it would force people to read the first post. Maybe if every fourth post in this thread was a responce to read the first post people would read it before asking their questions. :) They would also learn what the native controls setting does

I read from multiple places that it's better to use individual because of a games data gets corrupted it doesn't have any effect on your other save games. So if I manually use the full game ID for the save files, it shouldn't effect anything? Thanks

Too bad they will still ask why this and that don't work instead of fully reading the first post. The first post is like a EULA, too long to read so they don't bother or they skim.

I myself re-read it once and a while incase something new was added or changed. Sometimes I read it twice to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Nintendont only reads it if it's the four letters/numbers I think, it would only take a few moments to check though.
What you first said is correct, if nin screws up only the current card would be corrupted, however all 15 games in my collection work with just one 2MB file and I even play with a recompiled nin that is set to work faster than the current one and haven't encountered any problem. Default is 1000 times a second, mine is 4000 times.
In other words, do what works best for you.

Version 2.230--2.268, Black screen after starting every game.
Version 2.229 is working fine. What is the problem ??
PS: Wii 4.2E Softmod.

v2.230 introduced new code that broke alot of hard drives. The Nintendont themes and custom mods thread has a special version of v2.229 with most of the game fixes and updates that were added in v2.230 and after. Obviously this is a temporary solution until FIX94 can find the problem

Damn, seriously? Guess I'd better hold off, my Western Digital MyPassport's probably broken. What code was changed that broke so many HDDs? Couldn't that code be reverted?

It didn't actually break the hard drive. They just arnt compatible with Nintendont anymore

Bugger, that sucks. What the hell happened in 2.230, and is it something that will be fixed or are we all screwed? Well, guess I won't be using this app for a long time.

FIX94 made Nintendont fully compatible with IOS58 (use any usb port for anything).

The current solution is the Nintendont mastermod compiled for v2.229. It includes all the game fixes added in v2.230 and afterwards.
