hi, I came here to inform that the official GC adapter indeed work. HIDTest is detecting it and at least the 1st control is responding, gotta test connecting more than 1 controller.
I'll be making the config file and of course sharing it once finished.

Already tested it and it has issues. Just wait until Howard releases the fix.

Only issue is stickY so shouldn't be too bad to fix the first port.

I'm not sure if Howard can get all 4 ports working:unsure:

Well...yeah...but still, progress is progress, I suppose. Too bad the adapter is too damn hard to locate  It's out everywhere near my apartment, and I hope Nintendo isn't dumb enough to not ship more.

Thanks for confirming my issue. The stickY reverse is being fixed right now.

Are you loading from a sd or a usb? It works perfect with sd but I get black screen whenever I boot a game from usb with the adapter connected

Loading from an SD card. Kinda weird how much muscle memory came rushing back to me even though I haven't played Viewtiful Joe since shortly after it came out :P

Well, so long as the adapter can be used for most other games, I've no issue with that, assuming that is, the adapter will eventually be usable with Nintendont
Speaking of which, what's that adapter I keep hearing about, is it like a USB adaptor for the Wii U to use GCN controllers and other accessories?

Yeah, the official gamecube adapter for the Wii U, however, it sold out pretty bloody quickly, and will be a little bit before another shipment comes in. Uses two USB plugs for the USB ports in the front. :P

Hey that's awesome, shows how much the fans liked the Gamecube controller, I hope they make more (I mean they'd be stupid to ignore it since it sells so well) so that I can get one myself, btw does it also support all 4 controllers? Maybe the GBA cable and MC slot? Nah I'm probably thinking too hard, I gotta check this out!

It also strangely works with just the one USB port plugged in(the black one). Maybe the grey one is just extra power for when you use more than 2 cube controllers?

That is....definitely weird indeed. Only one way to find out.

For Smash Bros. yeah, all four controllers, Wavebirds, not sure about anything else, but man they are so hard to find lol.

Using the latest revision(r222) on wii u, Luigi's Mansion (U) will stall with a loud buzzing noise with Widescreen and Surround sound enabled at the same time. It doesn't freeze completely though because I can return to the HBC with the home button.

I'm using r222 with Memcard Emu on, Force Wide on, USB On, MaxPads 4, Mem Blocks 251, Memcard Multi on.

I tested the game without WS and surround on and it played ok, if I enabled WS and turned surround off it was fine, however if I enabled both at the same time it would stall shortly after going into the game. I'm not using anything else to play the game just nintendonts launcher.

*EDIT* Added region info (NTSC-U), wii u

Well I plugged in 4 GameCube controllers into my GC Adapter and they all worked just fine despite only having one USB plugged in.

No that was while playing Smash Bros for Wii U. This probably means we wont have to have use up two USB ports when using the Cube to Wii U adapter once it gets implemented for Nintendont.

Very good information, actually, and definitely a good sign to know that both can be used in that way.

Well after so many attempts I managed to get the adapter to work with the usb kernel.

Still not sure what the problem was:dry:
