Just found a pretty neat adapter on ebay that may give us a cheaper method of using a 360 controller. If anyone wants to test it then be my guest (I don't own any wired 360 controllers).

I'm tempted to get one if this is confirmed to be HID and working :)

at last...
all the verbose info removed with a custom loading screen!
Thanks Joo :)

here's the original png if you want to compile it yourself
background.png
replace "nintendon-t-read-only\loader\data\background.png"
however you need to edit "nintendon-t-read-only\loader\source\main.c" to remove the verbose loading info and that's the hard part

Or you could just comment it out.

I've got no problem with you making custom versions, but it would be counter-productive to remove the verbose info since it's needed for reports.

We also couldn't legally use your background, since it has both the Gamecube logo and a picture of a Wii U.

Have you tried a different storage device? That game is often posted to work without any problems

Yep, I just tried loading it from a new SD card and got the same freezing problem (even with disc 2)

Is there a way to have the verbose stuff write to the log but not print on screen?

yes, and having an option to do so while compiling would be great

I agree this won't help when problems are faced
however, since everything is fine with my setup and since I use a loader to launch my games this is what I just need

I'm using the internal SD slot

That could very well be the problem as the internal SD slot is slower than if you use a USB card reader and the rear USB port.

I would experience cutscene lagging when I used the internal SD slot. Once I switched to the rear USB slot that same SD card no longer gives me issues.

I would suggest you use the rear USB slot and see if it still happens.

Yes, but that still adds more chance of error.

The easiest way to get rid of the verbose info quickly is to change all instances of "BLACK" after this line to 0x00000000. They'll still be rendered, but the text will be transparent so you won't see it.

Edit: That doesn't work, use this.

Thanks, I'll try that and report back later

I did that but the text is still BLACK.
