Soul Caliber II isn't working? Just getting a black screen after the initial start up.

Edit: Just to make sure I'm using:
USB Loader GX
Standard settings, nothing touched
USB HDD set at 32kb for Fat32
NTSC-U ISO, no special settings added to it

Anything else?

I tried this out early and I was very happy with the results! I didn't even see any problems with this widescreen either like stuff on the side disappearing.

I also tried a code for Animal Crossing and it was just awesome.

I think someone should update the compatibility list for Nintendont to say that Animal Crossing and Double Dash have issues with the widescreen hack. I noticed a lot of games on the Nintendont compatibility list say that the widescreen hack works when it really doesn't. For example Blitz 2002 and Simpsons Hit and Run.

That's great, gonna test it tonight.

Could you please share the Animal Crossing code that you used? Couldn't find it anywhere...

Thanks!

So this is very odd, when I try to run any game on r178 with Memcard Emulation enabled Nintendont just stays there and freezes on the game list after selecting a game, doesn't even try to boot them. If I turn Memcard Emulation off they all boot as fast as always.

I'm considering corruption of the memory card files but could they all have gotten corrupted at the same time?

Using r178, USB HDD formatted as FAT32 with 32 kb cluster size.

Edit: Never mind, the saves directory got corrupted and completely inaccessible even on PC. Had to format the HDD again. Very odd because it worked the few couple of times with r178 and then it just didn't.

Dolphin has the exact same issues last time I checked, I tested it myself with 4.0-3471 last time. There even is a issue on google code about it and it also says that on their game list.

I am using 4.0-3587 with Star Fox Adventures and I don't see any issues with subtitles, they play when they are supposed to. I am using an NTSC ISO I ripped my self. I am also using the Mac version.

With the new patches I was hoping that Superman Shadow of... would be fixed. Unfortunately it has not been fixed yet. Thanks for all your effort Fix94.

Did some testing.
-Sonic Gems Collection works fine, I officially removed Devo from my Wii (now if only I can find a Japanese iso because Sonic CD's Japanese soundtrack is far superior).
-F-Zer AX works like a charm, I didn't notice any slow downs and controller works great, this is a step up over Quadforce.
-Sadly though both Mario Kart games are broke now, black screen from start (confirm?)
Yeah, both MK Arcade GP games are broken, waited for about 10 minutes, just black screen. The only Triforce game that works is F-Zero AX and it indeed works great (just no test and settings menu to be perfect).
P.S. I wonder if it's possible to add NTFS support so there will be no need to create a separate partition for GC games on USB hdd.

I've notice random disc read errors.

We just got one on The Fairly Oddparents: Breakin' Da Rules and we had one the other day on Super Mario Sunshine. Seems like this has come and gone with different revs and the errors seems random. Previously it used to error on Sunshine when exiting a level.

If I can reproduce the error, I'll add more to this to see if maybe we can figure out what causes it.

Also, I cannot run Ocarina of Time Master Quest, it freezes on black screen once I choose the game. It launches fine, but freezes after the selection. Same applies for the 4 pack collectors edition, those games do not load for me. I made sure to keep them full size ISO, 1:1 MD5 verified with redump.

So I tried booting a PAL version of Medal of Honor European Assaul...
AAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDD...

No dice, I still get a blackscreen on boot as with the NTSC on my Wii U.

I get the black screen after a few matches in vs mode.

i just tested mkdd with 2 gc controllers on port 1 and 2 and they work fine are you using a loader? if you use wiiflow/usbloadergx force maxpads to 1 by default which means only port 1 check that
You were spot on. Apparently USB Loader GX has a setting for number of GameCube controllers too. Thanks!

yeah composite cables started giving issues afew revs back as i recal dracorex mentioned it afew times if you can try with the wii default cables and see if it works we can isolate the issue

Just tried with default cable!
Crash the wrath of cortex(pal) works right now, no cut off screen, and it works with video mode set to auto
Even Sphinx (pal) works with video in auto mode, before with component cable i had to set it force to ntsc to make it works !

Damn, but the default cable have a lower lower quality !

p.s
my wii is pal !

did you had forced progressive when running the wii with component cables before?

No, I never used this option!
my standard configuration is

cheats off
debugger off
debugger wait off
mc emu ON
cheat path of
force wide screen off
force progressive off
autoboot off
hid device off
os report off
usb ON
drive read led ON
log off
maxpads 4
language auto
video auto
memcards blocks 251
memcard multi off

except for crash woc video was forced to pal50 to works
and sphinx was forced to ntsc

And i always test with the nintendont loader first, then with usbgx

Mario Kart Arcade GP 1 stopped working (Using SD), it used to work just fine before, and I haven't changed anything, only black screen now.
Also I usually use force progressive and video auto, and some games just black screens (they still work, but I have to blindly press buttons to get past the 50/60 hz select screen), mind you though, this is not new. It happened for a while.
(As of now I am using r177)

Just tried Sum of All Fears, another Tom Clancy game. After I failed my mission, tried to continue and got a black screen. Starting to notice a pattern...
