Just pullin this out my ass here, but have you tried switching the plugs on the Y cable?

Also, I thought I read that Nintendont doesn't like both it's holes filled. Maybe run one plug of the Y cable to a different device for power?

I tried powering it from a iPhone charger and just leaving the data in in the Wii U and YES! IT WORKS.
Looks as if the Wii U just isn't powerful enough USB load to run this HDD with a Y-Cable.

Turns out the drive is just super touchy as i have got it too boot normally and without external power too.... but it clicks and turns off sometimes........ it might be faulty

Just need a quick update, do we still have the unplug/replug issue with Wiimotion+ and classic controllers?

Does anyone else have no sound during in game cutscenes with the ntsc-u version of resident evil 4 on the newest revision of nintendont?

UPDATE 2: Made my own Y cable and now it works great using the 2 ports on Wii U as intended.
My store bought cable must have been shite.

After the Bond 007 games are fixed, That will be a glorious day haha.
I mean they work and save, just freeze at any racing levels.

All Bond game don't currently work right or at all, I wonder why, they are my fav games haha :(

just had quite the lucky find where colosseum checks for the memory card being inserted, paching that seems to solve its issues.
-added hardcoded patches for pokemon colosseum pal and ntsc which will report the memory card is always inserted with memcard emu enabled, this way you can actually save and load
I assume this doesn't fix Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg? I hope that game gets a fix soon it's a good game, at least I can play it now with my real memory card but I wanna be prepared for the worse!

Anyway good work Fix94, even though I'm not a Pokemon fan it's always nice to hear about fixes especially ones asked frequently, I realize programing isn't easy, I may not be a technician but I do my fare share of programming and I know how frustrating it can get, sometimes you don't even know what the problem is and it can take a while to track down, it's recommended that people try to replica the error they're reporting if they wanted a fix otherwise it's not going to be easy to track down!

Gave Sonic Gems Collection a go again to see if the newer revisions had indirectly fixed the game.

Sonic R and Sonic the Fighters work fine. This is great as there aren't many other way to play these two games. Sonic R in particular was only ever released on the Saturn, PC and in the Gems Collection. It's important that these games are playable on newer formats (the WiiU in this case) so this is great news!

Sonic CD is a strange one. It's still broken, but this time manages to load the title screen but crashes when loading a stage. It must be a really tricky and/or buggy title in the first place. I did used to recommend that people stick to r127 for this game, but with Bluetooth support in the newer Nintendont revisions, people should use the latest revision for Sonic R and Fighters. With Sonic CD, people should emulate the MegaCD/SegaCD version using Gensis Plus GX. The same goes for the Game Gear games.

How I solved the FS issue. I made a fat32 partition no larger than 32 GB formatted using Gparted in Linux, then made a second fat32 partition with the remainder of the space for Wii games or additional GameCube games. I use USB Loader GX with multi partition enabled. 32 GB is plenty of space for my games. But when you boot Nintendont it reflects the total hard drive size not just the partition where the games reside. Make sure to make both partitions primary ones not extended. Also windows will not reflect second partition on a thumb drive. Not sure about a physical plater drive. I had to place Wii games on second partition with in Linux. I used Puppy Linux Slacko Edition on an 8 GB thumb drive created with XBoot latest beta. Then used gparted. No more issues.

The latest versions did fix a problem Sonic CD was having when loading the save manager; "Saved Games" mode, used to cause a sound effect to get stuck repeating over and over but now it doesn't happen.

Also the special stages specifically do work, which is one of the ups of playing this version because of the super smooth framerate.

Oh, the Steam version of Sonic CD has a better special stage mode, didn't know Sonic Gems Collection had the same thing. So it works now?

The '2012' version on the PC, PS3, 360 etc. is obviously the definitive version.

But I would argue that the MegaCD version is overall better than the original 1996 PC/Gems version (the Gems version is based on the original 1996 PC version) due to this version lacking an awful lot of special effects.

Interesting about the special stages though!

Offroad Thunder will get a disc load error attempting to load a stage, but that's farther than I got with it in DIOS MIOS where it would just stay loading forever.

Has anybody tested PSO 1&2? I can't test it right now and I'd like to know if the black screen is due to a memory card check ... if nobody tested it, I'll test it tomorrow and report (even if my hopes are not so high :P)
Once again, great job FIX94 :D

FIX94

I don't know if you recall, but I'm the guy who wrote this message a few pages ago...

I'm using r155 on a wii with classic controller pro. These days I'm playing a lot of mario kart and I noticed that on rare occasions pressing the left analog stick to the left or to the right, seems to cause the game to think the stick is continuously pressed even if I release the stick. Moving the stick to a different direction resolves the problem. There is nothing wrong with the controller, I double checked with a second one I have as a backup.

It doesn't happen all the time, just once or twice in a race but those who play mario kart double dash at 150cc know that it can be enough to ruin your race.

Maybe I should put this on the nintendont page, just wondering if anyone else has noticed that...

EDIT: I mean the original (nintendo) classic controller pro.

After that we exchanged a few messages to clarify what was going on but you (or your testers) couldn't reproduce the issue so we left it at that.

Although, our attention was mainly focused on the classic controllers I was using, it was only until yesterday that I got to the bottom of this.

You see, a friend of mine brought home his two wiimotes, both not including wiimote plus, one original Nintendo, the other a fake. Guess what ... They both work fine with my original classic controllers and Nintendont, no more sticking analog controller...

My two wiimotes I was using until now, are original Nintendo with Wiimote plus included (RVL-036).

I would really like to know your opinion on this and if there is anything you would like me to test now that I still have my friend's wiimotes here.

I'm sure it's already been thought of, but just in case: Has anyone tried backing up a real Billy Hatcher save, and converting it for use in Nintendont?

[...] of course you can always ask me for fixing a game but you gotta realize that I dont have a fix for every game on my pc so you need to start being patient cause some fixes can take me days or even months like pokemon here to figure out.

OK, then I would like to ask kindly to take a look at the Lord of the Rings games (Two Towers, Return of the King and Third Age). All of them have speed up gameplay. Return of the King and Third Age have also speed up cutscenes. In Two Towers the cutscenes are OK. Take your time for those, it's not urgent. But nonetheless I would love to have those working one day. :)
