Is the info in the compatibility list that Pokemon XD does not yet run with Nintendont still recent?

It looks like nintendont does not like third party wii remotes. I just tested my Afterglow brand wiimote http://www.amazon.com/Afterglow-AW-1-Remote-Wii-Blue-Nintendo/dp/B003IU027U and it does not work. Has anyone got any third party wiimotes working with nintendont?

I can confirm that third party Wii remotes do not work with Nintendont. I have the same problem with my third party Wii remote plus (with official Classic controller).

What is the response you get?
It just doesn't connect at all?

I think it might be because third party wiimotes/nunchucks/classic controllers use a different encryption for the initialization, which might cause no response at all.

if you look at the PadRead file you might see that you need to remove the bongos and replug them in on game start.
In Donkey Kong Jungle Beat I have tried connecting bongos at booth the first two press any button to continue screens. they let me advance to the next scren. when I get to the inital clap screen by eather using a gamecube controller or the bongos I cant advance unless I use the camecube controller. I have tied unplugging and replugging the bongos at the inital clap screen couldnt get bongos to work. then advanced to the opening ceramony using a gamecube controller. again tried connecting bongos still dosent work.

Ok, i will begg no more of wich it shall be not named!

Games won't play so well with the nunchuck. Game controls are optimized for their consoles own controller. Even something small like switching a SNES to a gamecube makes the games feel odd. For example, it's hard to press Y + B at the same time on a GC controller, which is something you often want to do on an SNES game. Gamecube games however, would be programed to not make you need to do that.

Holy hell. The bluetooth support is incredible! The programmers achieved this MUCH sooner than I anticipated. Hats off. -- Everything* works great. Although, I do have one sub-minutia issue: I'm using the MayFlash Gamecube Adapter for Wii U connecting my original Gamecube controller to my WiiMote. All the buttons work, except for the start button - A lot of games demand you press start first, but in doing so, I end up resetting Nintendont to the homebrew screen. Will a different controller.ini file in my root cure this? I had the PS3 controller file before the bluetooth was integrated. I saw a couple Mayflash CC/Pro files - are they what I need?. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

well the guy who I wrote it for only tested it with donkey konga so maybe a PADIsBarrel patch is missing in that game.

Also to all those 3rd party controllers, I wrote bluetooth only for original controllers, 3rd party ones are not supported by me since I dont have any and dont intend to ever get one.

Bluetooth doesn't need a controller.ini
The thing is that all the mapping of the buttons is already hard-coded to Nintendont, so you are not able to change it.

Ahh. Understood. Well, if one of the programmers sees my issue and decides to fix it - great. If not, still fine. I'm ecstatic with Nintendont in general anyway. Thanks for the quick reply.

Well WELL!! You don't check the progress for a couple of months and look what happens: audio streaming AND Classic Controller, etc support?! Hats off devs, you guys are legends!! B-)

the_ramdomizer: (sorry but that name's just soooo much better than randomizer it's stuck with me!) I've only just found out about all these updates, and am most keen to play Super Monkey Ball, but just had 5 minutes with Burnout 2 on the latest rev.... I'm not getting any music, and using a Classic Controller (on Wii U) I've....er...constantly got the horn :O - might be some form of deadzone issue, or my CC's getting a bit old, plus like I say I only had 5 minutes on it, but there does seem to be a couple of issues.... I'd need more testing before thinking about editing the compat list - something perhaps you could think about doing, before trying to edit a game you've not played? Maybe you could confirm the problems I seemed to encounter myself? :)

Reading the back of the box picture you linked to the start button on the gamecube is mapped 3 different ways.
Home - presst start for less than 1 second
Select - press start for more than 1 second
Start - quickly double press the start button

As Horward said above the adapter uses 3 possible combinations for start button. If you want just to press start = you have to quickly double press the button.

Otherwise you will get other responses for the press. Check the back of the cover of your adapter.

Ah. Will certainly look & give that a try tonight. Thanks. Ditto on the thanks, Howard.

I can confirm you are correct. I was the one that reported that adapter as working, including the analog triggers!
