Never thought this commit could cause this much confusion.

It does exactly what it says it allows Nintendont to use more code space in simple terms.
There are no real code changes between 1.70 and 1.71 that's why there isn't a new DOL and improvements or regressions are pure imagination.

Nintendont was already on the edge of the currently useable memory when building USB so obviously adding the Triforce code wasn't possible.
So I changed some things and now we can use much more memory than before basically no limit (only the RAM is the limit!).

I also was about to commit the first batch of Triforce changes but for some reason MK:GP2 now always crashes at a certain screen, so you have to wait some more.

Excuse me , i am new here but i know this site since long time ago. But i dont know where i can find the latest version of nintendont.. I dont know when does Crediar update because in https://code.google.com/p/nintendon-t/ i cant see what version is it .. Can anyone help with that?? Thanks for everybody and specially to Crediar =D

It has been a while since I have been here and I tried looking through the forum and I couldn't find this, but does anyone have a working Super Mario Sunshine cache file? Also, are cache files uploaded to a set website nowadays or are they still posted here?

faku1810 zeldaWW get me blackscreen

By any chance are you using a cache.txt? I can confirm that the cache.txt that VinsCool made gets me a black screen when trying to load; but it works perfectly fine without it. Not sure if it's because there are 43 duplicated strings and a couple of mixed lines, it was too much to try and "debug" so I simply deleted it.

In the first post, the first link is the latest dol.

Edit: Also, crediar isn't the only one working on nintendont, most of the recent updates are from FIX94 and Howard; JoostinOnline made quite a few commits as well.

No, the only cache made for sunshine tries to cache over 200 mb so it simply gets stuck in the "caching" screen. I tried to made one, but since the only problem with the games are the load times due to the videos (which are way too big to be cached) then there's no benefit to get from a cache.txt

Also, daxtsu made an unofficial repository for cache files; people who want to share theirs can do so here : https://github.com/thedax/nintendont-gamecaches

However, people SHOULD test their cache.txt with the latest version of nintendont before trying to pull a request to add them, to avoid situations like sunshine's crash or Wind Waker black screen.

I have an unofficial repository on Github. It has a Sunshine cache, but it's not recommended to use it right now, since it tries to cache 3 times more memory than the Wii has physically, so it needs to be adjusted.

Hello everyone.
First of all, thank you very much to all that, I doubt that I doubt that resolve. You are a great community.
Well, I have several curiosities about Nintendont.
When I started playing Super Mario Sunshine but this never it was deemed beyond a certain progress in the game suddenly hangs at various levels, very random. I was wondering if someone else happens to him that.
Another question I have is, Nintendont can force the region in a game? Is that when I play Wind Waker (PAL), my LCD tells me not to accept more format video, however, seconds after loading the game (I use cable that components). I want to know if this thing is nintendont or my LCD (In settings Nintendont got what from region to "Auto"). I had also downloaded the Smash Bros. Melee (PAL) but my TV did not visualize anything and I went the same ad in the Wind Waker but he never afterwards was loaded. It's all so confusing.
Ah yes, there are games that force them to 480p if these are hung like Smash Bros. Melee (NTSC) and RE Code Veronica X (NTSC). More however, in the compatibility list says these games support 480p.

PD: Sorry for the little coherence in the text. Is that use the Google translator.

I wonder if there is going to be a surge to make this work now that we will be getting a Gamecube controller adapter

The pace at which it's improving is sufficient though, what more could they need? It's working a lot better compared to when it first started...

I'm just hoping they have more games running so I can eventually ditch my Gamecube/Wii all together

It's happening as we speak, it just takes time to make more games compatible, sometimes games work while breaking others. Any particular reason you can't use it now? Many games are working perfectly :P It'll be a long time, esp. for audio streaming games.

how create a memory card?? i create a paste x:\saves\ but games dont reconect memory card??

You don't need to create anything, just enable MCEmu in the settings; after loading Nintendont choose where you have your games (sd or usb) and press B in the wiimote to open the settings, enable MCEmu (and HID controller if you're using one) and press B to go back to the game list, then choose your game and play. It will ask you to format your memory card the first time you play, do it, each game has it's own memory card so nothing will be affected except for that game.

While you don't have to create anything, you can likely (not tried it myself, yet) use raw dumps from other sources (dolphin, real memory cards), if they're named and sized (2MB) properly. Each game's memory card is named with the first 4 letters of its game ID, and ends with .raw. So Smash Bros. Melee US, for example, might be GALE01, and its memory card would be GALE.raw.

I know r71 src just posted but I did some testing with r69.
Save files are r69 virgin and gameplay test time ran from 30 mins to 3 hrs.
Before I update the wiki, please cross reference with your own results and send feedback.

I was able to find about 90% of my old games and got somewhat nostalgic.
I'm also excited about the possibilities with the newly announced WiiU GC 4 port adapter.
This project is coming along nicely; great job guys! I'll compile and test r71 tomorrow.

Were these tested with the gamecube bios/font?

Not sure you can get a 2mb raw file from dolphin though, even if you try to create a new memory card using its MC manager, you'd get a 16mb .raw file; what you can do is use that manager to transfer saves from the MemoryCardxx.raw of dolphin to the GameID.raw that was created after loading a game with MCEmu enabled.

Edit: What I haven't tried is to use a 16mb file instead of the 2mb one created by nintendont; even if it worked though, it would be wasted space :/

Yes. IPL.bin/ font_ansi.bin.
I forgot to note RE4 on the pastie.
Resident Evil 4 [G4BE08]\ MCEmu=yes\2,784.7 MB
(Issue) Missing in-game/cutscenes music and voices. Exit the "Load" menu without a save file present will blackscreen the game.
Also; the blackscreens/frozen-memory card-loadings that happen with Sunshine, 4 Swords & Metroid Prime 2 seem to be at random.(Mem addrs corruption?)
But Starfox Assault always gets stuck at the "Accessing Memory Card..." screen. Works with MCEmu off. It does help by pressing start during the 1 minute of blackscreen on SA's boot, like pedrobarca said, logos don't show up.

Dolphin can use 2MB sized cards, but you're right, it can't create ones less than 16MB, I believe. That's where a hex editor or a tiny program (dd on Linux?) written to create small blank files can come in handy.
