it works the same if you put it on the root of the sd/usb

IPL.BIN is a gamecube bios file if you do a seach you should be able to find it

Does the gamecube bios file actualy work?

I put the font file onto the root of my usb, and now the text appears in starfox assault, but i still get nothinh after selecting progressive mode.

Also, i have indvidual "cache.txt" in each of my games folders, is that all i need to do with those files?

I got file caching to finally work i just had to format my sd card to fat32 with 64k clustersize

Edit: fat with 64k cluster size with sdcard under 4gb and fat32 with 64k cluster size with sd cards above 4gb

so USB won't worked after all?

Edit: I think my sd card is is about wore out cause file caching does not work anymore i got it to work a couple of times, then i tried a few minuets ago it won't work anymore but usb still works but it is a 2gb usb flash drive formatted fat with 64k cluster size

yes usb works, sd card stopped working i think my sd card is wore out but it did work a few times

if ipl.bin is not found, it tries to load font_ansi.bin instead.
so, keep that filename.

i just used the original file crediar posted
