I do not see a link to a ninmem.raw file anywhere. Do I need to create one? If not, where does it come from?

It's automatically created the first time you run Nintendont (with MCEmu enabled, i suppose, no point to create it if you're not emulating it).

Well, if the last one that worked was r55, and it stopped working in r74, it's not so "suddenly". However, if you want to find out the cause, the best way to do it is to go one revision at a time from the rev that last worked, until it stops working. Then the devs will be able to check what changed in that rev and broke it.

Noted. Thanks for the, uh, advice.

I never said it didn't work, nor does this problem exist in Dolphin for the games.

I believe Dolphin and Swiss have better implementations of the Widescreen hack, it's possible Devo has it too, but from the comments on things being placed incorrectly on Devo as well it sounds like it doesn't.

Mmmm actually I can run the game full screen without the misplacement of items, but that is if I disable the Widescreen hack, just leave the game run normally with the settings I have.
This issue happens just with the Widescreen hack, and to my knowledge it will not work for RE 2 and 3 since the resolution for the pre-rendered backgrounds is set to the standards of the game itself, it wasn't developed to run in higher resolutions.
So the screen will be stretched along with the images, making the items and the backgrounds not aligned at times.

Nemesis90, do you have a screen-to-screen comparison of the game running in Dolphin with Widescreen compared to the non-Widescreen image?
Take into consideration that there has to be an item visible in the screen (like handgun ammo or such) to compare the alignment with the background.

Because if you have component cables why would you want to play in 480i? It's a given that your going to want progressive, unless of course you have some type of problematic TV which seems to be the case for u. So most of us would not want that by default because I dont' want to have to choose progressive for every game I play, I rather just have it be progressive all the time and choose whether I want to lower my resolution.
There are actually TV's that have s-video and component cables that CAN'T do progressive scan (my brother-in-law has one such TV set). I understand there's some benefit to image quality that way, even when interlaced. I've never noticed much difference myself but it might make more difference depending on how much background interference there is. Either way, I can see how it would be a pain for those users when their TV insists on forcing an unsupported video mode when the game supposedly would otherwise be compatable with their screen.

When I went from composite to component, before I went 480p, I noticed a huge difference in the quality of the colors.

S-video's a healthy improvement over composite, too, reducing color-bleed. It was especially noticeable for me in 2D games on my SNES; edges became cleaner and better defined.

I play every Wii and GC game (dios mios) on a CRT TV with component but no progressive scan support.
It also has s-video and composite.

Component 480i >>> S-video 480i >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Composhit 480i

It annoys the hell out of me being asked every time "Activate progressive scan? YES/no" by GC games, with YES being timed default. (if it accidentally activates, picture becomes a mess)
Oh well.

By the way, provided

- I'm not interested in any of the 70+ audio streaming GC games (the ones I like are multiplatform or have a Wii re-release, see Pikmin)
- I have more Wavebirds than a man can desire
- same goes for GC memory cards
- I got a BC wii of course and plan to buy another as a spare

currently there are no reasons for me to jump from diosmios to nintendon't, right? will there ever be, based on planned features?

Audio streaming is planned, it's still very much in beta and no, there is no comparison between this or Dios Mios, in fact, this doesn't use a Mios at all since the Wii U doesn't have one :P

Been away for a while (had some issue with a brat that caused my Deviantart account to get banned ) I see there has been a wave of updates here fixing most of the crash issue, glad to here.

Is Memory Card still not supported? Also was USBLoader GX r1219 released yet? Finally what's the latest version for HID? Not that I used it before since I have a GC controller but in case I wanted to use my PS3 controller in the future it's good to keep up to date!

Again, id like to know what files people have, if im missing anything, cause its very frustrating hearing people with the same ntsc ssbm on a wiiu and it works, yet it doesnt for me.

So what files do people have on they're root, and what is with the boor.dol in the nintendont folder? Something has to be missing on my end.

All 3 usb loaders support it. USBLoader GX 1218_Mod06 is the one you want. Ask in the usb loader gx thread about r1219

Wiiflow and cfg usb loader also support it if you want to use those. Not sure how to get it to work with Wiiflow but you can ask here for cfg usb loader with Nintendont support.

What problem are you having? Melee works fine for me but I cannot save.

Yeah I understand the inner workings are different.
But in terms of final results (= playing GC games off a USB hdd), my point is:
- used BC Wiis are not rare nor expensive
- same goes for used GC controllers and GC memory cards
- ok Wavebirds are slightly rarer and pricier than the above, but still not that expensive

So every know and then I'm tempted to ask people what's the big deal about Devolution and Nintendon't.
Just to know if I'm missing out on something by staying on dios mios.
Of course in the long run I see the point of projects like these.

If I was on a Wii i would use dios mios but you cant use it on a Wii U.

This project is aimed toward people who only have a Wii U.
