Hmm, What do you mean not detected?

I have any game on USB, detected on Nintendont Loader (selectable), but SSBM doesn't appear mine. I tried to run directly with configurable USB Loader and doesn't appear too, now; on USB Loader GX r1218 and i see Super Smash Bros Melee, but says: currently supports Gamecube games on SD card, i tested Mario Kart Double Dash instead of SSBM, and runs directly! maybe requires 1:1 and i shrunked it and still doesn't detect! :c

Make a fresh rip. That sounds like the problem.

i'll just add my experience as well. melee has been working fine for me on wii and wii u using nintendont for several versions now. mcemu does cause some problems, but with using ocarina codes to unlock characters and stages and such, i have no need for saving. when it boots up, i just say 'no' to creating game data and let the game run without saving. works great for me so far. even used it during a smashfest yesterday, so i don't believe the problem is coming from nintendont.

how do you ripped SSBM?

CleanRip

Yup. They seem to have fixed Super Smash Bros Melee with one of the most recent revisions. Probably r40 when they fixed the dsp versions.

I don't have a Wii, i've ripped with DMTool v0.31 or DiscEx to 1:1 and nothing, renaming iso neither :c

What SSBM are you tested, 1.00, 1.01 or 1.02?

maybe doesn't detect on Nintendont Loader r50 directly

That video was a black label 1.00

It reads fine with the normal Nintendont Loader.

IIRC, my iso of SSBM did appear on the list of games when I had it on my HDD. I'll check later to be sure, there shouldn't be any difference between using Nintendont from HBC or loading it through CFG. Except maybe a different dol, CFG tries loading a "loader.dol" from its folder in the root, and only if it won't find it will it use the one in nintendont folder. Check that folder to see if you have a different rev of nintendont, maybe that's the difference.

I'll check with my iso again to see if it does appear in the list, I have the NTSC-U version just in case.

I'm using r50

I just tested a few more of my favorite games that always freeze at the same point but they still freeze.

Why is Melee fixed now? Did a dev secretly fix it and not tell anyone or just a mere coincidence? Hopefully one of the devs actually are reading this because i'm really curious now. Too lazy to tag them.

did you check that there wasn't a loader.dol in "root:/usbloader/"?
yes, i've played it! but i want to play directly on Nintendont r50 (without usb loader, wiiflow, usb loader gx, etc.)

Are you tried on Super Mario Sunshine and F-ZERO GX?

Don't be too mad yet. I checked them all on usb r44 and Resident Evil 2 (minor shadow glitch in widescreen mode tho) and Code Veronica X are the only one that worked almost 100%. Resident Evil 4 does also until you try to access a menu, then it crashes. HIGHLY playable until that, tho. Resident Evil 3 (has minor re2 shadow thing also) and Zero SEEEM to work 100%, but crash randomly shortly after they become playable. Resident Evil remake freezes directly after the warning screen.

SO, out of these games:
Resident Evil USA
Resident Evil 2 USA
Resident Evil 3 USA
Resident Evil 4 PAL
Resident Evil Code Veronica X USA
Resident Evil Zero USA

Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil Code Veronica X are the only ones that run as far as I can get without memory card support.
I'll check the PAL versions later, if only to update the list so it doesn't give others these same false hopes. I feel like those PAL listings on the list never checked past the intro cutscene.
So, maybe wait a little while longer to buy back a wii u if the only reason your doing that is nintendont resident evil gameplay? Its up to you, and 2 and code veronica DO play well.
You still shouldn't have sold your Wii U though...

did u testet with the new r50 version? no i dont only want to play nintendont i also want to play the old wii backups and the new wii u games with out having two consoles.. :D

Are you tried on Super Mario Sunshine and F-ZERO GX?

That's why I'm telling you... if you have a loader.dol in "root:/usb-loader/" (DO NOT confuse with "/apps/usbloader/") then it's not the same as "apps/nintendont/boot.dol" so rename the boot.dol to "r50.dol" and copy/paste the loader.dol to nintendont folder, rename it to boot.dol and load it from HBC, then check the build date AND if it shows SSBM

Edit: I just used DMToolbox to copy both a Melee 1:1 iso and a compressed one. Nintendont r50 showed both in the game list, so it's not nintendont problem.

cfg usb loader will just search for the boot.dol in /root/app/Nintendont/ if it doesn't detect it in /root/usb-loader/

No games will boot with Nintendont if it can't detect either. I have tried it.

You probably have a bad rip of the game because Sunshine should boot (but freeze during cutscenes)
