And how may I ask are you contributing? We get it, he's not getting the praise he deserves for giving us free software.
The highlighted portion cannot be emphasized enough.

Myself, as well as most on here, treat devs with respect because they've earned it. When you respect someone for sharing their hard work, there's a line that you just don't cross. Those with an entitlement complex wouldn't understand this.

crediar doesn't owe you anything. He doesn't work for you. He does this for himself and then shares it to your benefit. If he decides to end a project, I'm sure he has a good reason why. Even if he doesn't, so what? Who are you to crediar other than a nuisance?

When Crediar gives you what you want, you praised him but on the first occasion you bash and insult him? You can't even respect other's decision and action, you think you woe everything, you think everything done by others are done the way you see it?
What I've seen in the Twitter's screenshot, link and comments : he only removed WiiU to his Twitter's header.
He never mentioned anything about stopping Nintendont development but stopping developing for WiiU and vWii, you are just speculating about his real intent and why he removed WiiU from twitter.
He already stopped working on DM/DML and came back on his project and improved it when users didn't expect it. You think everything is definitive and you see only what you want to see.

Some developers work on projects because they want, they like what they are doing for themselves, and they decide to release it to public to share the result.
Being praised show the interest in a project and that you appreciate the effort and time put in developing it, if you don't like what you get and can only criticize, the developers won't even find the interest in releasing their program to users, and will keep them for themselves, focus on their own needs instead of working for others.

This thread was a meant to inform you about development advancement, It's currently on hiatus as he said he is focusing on something else and didn't say he stopped working on Wii/Nintendont.

Until he gives official statement on Nintendont development, this thread has no purpose but create a war against users bashing him and users supporting him.
After the way you acted, I wouldn't place my hope very high on releasing something for free to people who can only insult his work and himself. But that's for him to decide.

Edit 2013-12-08 : Crediar released Nintendont souces.

I open this thread again, but talk about the project only.
All complaint, insults or reply to previous ones will be removed.

I think it's great what Crediar has done, but I find it incredibly surprising that he quit like this. I just don't understand what happened to the enthusiasm that he had going into this. It just feels to me like Crediar was "talked to" by someone with a C&D letter. In one month, he went from building this thing from scratch to abandoning all connections he had with the wii/wiiu. If he did choose this, I wish him well in whatever he chooses to do, but it just doesn't feel right to me. It feels like there is something forcing his hand.

im happy to see the source out there! thanks crediar!

is there any chance this code is usable as is? has anyone with programming knowledge looked at it yet?

I didn't realize how insane this sort of thing is. To work on this, a knowledge of arm assembly (for starlet), powerpc assembly (for broadway/gamecube instructions), and how the gamecube and wii work as whole is needed. I guess I see the validity of crediar's point about dios mios how no one knew how/wanted to work on it (most likely the former).

Maybe for a single person, but it not that crazy for several people considering that Dolphin exists.

I'd also like to repost something I previously stated in another thread:
I've previously gone on record for not seeing much point to NintenDont when Dolphin and Devolution combined can arguably provide better functionality.

But I'd just like to one again go on record to say that open source NintenDont has the ability to change everything.

This is why I believe there should be no qualm with rewarding Crediar for his time, most people lack the knowledge and those who do have it, most would rather spend their time working on other things. I believe there's plenty of interest in this from the community to start a fund with some goals as long as Crediar is willing to agree with them and hopefully want to work with Nintendont again.

That would be nice but this situation really does sound like a cease and decist letter or some other coercion from ninty. Anyway, I would work on it if I knew where to start/anything about the gamecube hardware. Probably should try to learn arm and ppc assembly first (easier said than done).

Respecting him is a good payment.
