But the game doesn't start, it comes up with init hid devices failed...
then you either dont have the ini named well most ppl wend up with "controller.ini.ini" due to extensions being hidden remenber it needs to be plugged every time, there is no wireless

Ok so it turns out I had to call the ini just "controller" but now when the game stars it says that an error has occured and I need to power down... Any ideas (the game is twilight princess)

I'm looking for an adaptor to use GameCube controllers over USB so I can closely recreate the genuine GameCube experience.

The easiest adaptor to obtain is the Trio Linker II Plus, but I've no idea if this works with the Trio Linker v1 controller.ini file, or if the adaptor is compatible at all. Also no word if it works with a Wavebird.

The alternative is the Raphnet adaptor. http://raphnet.com/products/gamecube_to_usb/index.php

Does anybody have experience with either? I'll be using a Wavebird.

I'd recommend waiting until Nintendo releases it's official adapter which will take in four gamecube controllers.

I updated USBGX, and I have the same googlecode download issue. (checkout is working fine)
someone reported it, but no comments yet.

When playing a game on Nintendon't, how do you return to the loader?

Exit using the button combo : R+Z+B+Down

In DIOS MIOS this combo is used to shutdown the console, not reset/return to loader.
And restart (reset) is R+Z+Start

shouldn't we use the same combo? it's easier for users using both loaders to keep the same button combo.

OH MY GOD Thank you! Now I don't need to shut off my Wii

I had Cyan add this to the front page under the "What gamepads are working" section

The Mayflash 3 in 1 Magic Joy Box adapter works wonders and it's cheap and easy to find

Edit: I think the Trio Linker II Plus had been reported as not working.

Everytime I boot up twilight princess it says that there's a problem with a game and I should power down the console and check the manual... It says twilight princess is compatible on the list... I have re-downloaded. I live in the uk so I'll be using PAL. Any help, or shall I have to wait?
