One line from me 3 from you... He doesn't care he is just fed up... I can change my flag it won't help you...

Flag has nothing to do with it, your English grammar is a little flawed, I'm not entirely sure what you are trying to say all the time.

But I understand at least part of it. I have to disagree, I don't think he is fed up at all, he by no means had to provide any fix or even the source for this thing. And the fact that he picked back up quadforce a year ago when the demand was strong enough (and granted he received a small donation, but certainly a fair donation for the work he put into it) and fixed the issues with that, makes me think that he is a good guy that cares about this stuff.

That was on a Wii U so I cannot use gamecube controllers. All my tests are done with a ps3 controller as well.

Well, Nintendont recognizes the PS3 controller and turns it on when I start Kirby Air Ride. However, it doesn't accept any input. I have to have a Gamecube controller in Slot 2 just so I can get past the screen where it complains about the Memory Card being incompatible. I did rename the necessary .INI file to "controller.ini" and placed it at the root of both the SD card and the flash drive just to be safe.

The lights on the PS3 controller all flash in unison. I don't know if Nintendont is coded to use a solid light for the player it is controlling similar to Devolution or not.

Eh, just weird classic Wii problems I suppose. A Gamecube controller works just fine as input in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (The only other game I've tested at all).

press the ps button once the game boots up. The first player light should become red.

Didn't work :/ I thought I had tried that but I couldn't remember, so I gave it another shot.

Thanks for helping though, Adeka! Maybe in a future revision things will work for me.

Confirmed the changes of HWAccess_ESPatch by OJ worked.
(no more kernel -1 error for newer Wii with Hollywood v0x21)

The last fixed version runs fine also on mi Wii. I tested the only two games I have:
Luigi's Mansion (works) and Sonic Adventures DX (black screen after the game is loaded).
Unfortunately I can't make further tests because all my 3 ps3 compatible controllers don't work.
I tested them with HIDtest with the following result:
the first branded "Two Dots" BT wireless (connected with cable,of course) -> not working
the second branded "Big Ben" BT wireless -> apparently ok, but values don't change when pressing buttons
the third branded "Big Ben" wired only -> same as the Two Dots model

I do have an original one. At the very least as far as I can tell. I bought it from Best Buy a long time ago and it looks and feels like a legitimate one. Says "Sony", "Dualshock 3 Sixaxis", the whole shebang.

Edit: Realized you were talking to Silix. Derp. Disregard this~~~~

Oh, sorry, I was referring to Silix, i didn't quote him because he was right above my post. I'm not sure what your problem might be and can't be of much help since i don't have a ps3 controller, I'm using a regular pc gamepad. (Though i'm having a bit of trouble with the controller.ini lol)

Sounds like you need an original PS3 controller

You are right, but they are really expensive and I don't have a Ps console so it would be only for Nintendont.
I bought the compatible controllers only to allow my grandson to play to Sonic Adventure on pc and than discovered they don't work very well on a windows pc.
So I bought a Wii for him and than realized that Sonic adventure was only available for GC....
I'm really noob about games (I only played with Tomb Raider I Dos version when I was young).
Actually I'm too old to play with games and can use only things like "spider solitaire" or "minesweeper" on pc

P.s. : thank you for posting the final working version.

There are many games in wii that your grandson can play so I wouldn't feel like i messed up when buying it if i were you ;)

I understand that controllers are expensive, that's why I'm trying to get my PC Gamepad to work, it's the one I have lol.. but it's kinda weird that none of the controllers work.

When you're testing with HIDTest is best to not have the controller.ini because (i think) it will try to recognize only the buttons that are configured and they may be different from the controller's inputs. Also you must make sure the controller is connected to the back USB upper port. If you've got all correctly set up and still won't work, then I can only feel those controllers aren't good (given that they don't work well on your computer either) so i don't know what advice to give you..

ps: no problem, all I did was to compile and upload. They will surely commit the changes and upload r51 when they can (maybe they're waiting until there are more people that confirms the isuse has been solved)

On a windows pc you cannot use analog sticks without drivers (and a ps3 compatible controller cannot have windows drivers, of course) so I had to use programs like Motioninjoy to use them fully (and connect them via bluetooth), but that program was bugged and unstable so at the end I bought a Speedlink Strike Fx pc wireless controller (tested right now: is the only one not recognized at all).
For what concerns Nintendont, are you compiling sources under Windows or Linux? I'd like to play a little with the code but I don't want to setup a Linux machine only for that.

I'm using windows, I installed TortoiseSVN and then right click on a folder in my computer and choose SVN Checkout to get the files from https://nintendont.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ and that's it. the folder has a build.bat to make the compiling process very easy.

If it happened with your WiiU as well, it sounds like a problem with your HDD, did you format it as FAT32 and are you using the right port? you have to connect it on the back, upper port for wiiU and bottom port in Wii. The controller goes in the other port in the back as well.

Thank you very much. I thought I needed a C compiler and other stuff ( I read also about an Arm Dev kit or something like that), but if it's that simple I'll try soon.

Oh right, silly me, I forgot that I had to install Devkitpro as well, but that's a fairly easy installation, it will ask you to select what you want and you have to choose PPC and ARM. Optionally you can choose Programmer's Notepad to help you read the code better.
