It's not on the opening post but you can find the link around here

https://code.google.com/p/nintendont-usb/source/browse/trunk/Nintendont/boot.dol

to be safe follow these instructions

~NintendontUSB goes in usb:/root/apps/NintendontUSB
~games go in usb:/root/games/gameid/game.iso
~controller.ini goes in the root of your usb

~make sure your sd card is UNPLUGGED to avoid any problems

~your hdd goes in the TOP BACK port on the wiiU

~your HID compatible controller goes in the BOTTOM BACK port on the wiiU

thank you for your help, I do have a wii u but I am not using nintendon't on it as I have not hacked it yet, I am using it on the wii. So it works on wii right? I willl test anyway using these instructions.

the usb variant will not boot if i put the app on SD. Im using a real wii not sure if that makes a difference.

Few advices for anyone who would like to test the USB version of Nintendont:

1. It's not necessary to put \apps\nintendont\ to USB device. (no problem for me
to load apps from SD card) The important thing is the program will check
controller.ini and nincfg.bin under USB:\ .
Did you check that VashTS?

I'm not sure if the usb version works on the wii. Has anyone tried it?

Mine did the same thing. I'm not sure what causes it. I launched it through cfg usb loader_mod and it works fine like that

Maybe the hdd is too big and it can't check the file system correctly?
It's 2gb. Enough to hold twin snakes disk 1. Hope it gets fixed, want to play twin snakes.

It seems a lot of games I've tested have input and sound problems in Nintendon'tUSB. The controller lags horribly and the sound replays itself after 2-3 seconds.

Tested soul calibur 2 on the USB version. Works almost flawlessly. There are only longer load times and very little music distortion at this point. Memory card emulation does not work at all though. It will ask to turn off the gamecube when memory card emulation is attempted.

Granted, some games, ie Metal Gear Solid, are sluggish being played off of usb thumb.

Anyone playing off of an external HDD? If so, how're those games playing?
