I posted this because there are other posts saying you can have the app on SD.

When I've tried the initial beta i cannot get past about 20 games, it code dumps while browsing the list. any games i've tried have not booted.

It could be any number of things as other people are able to load games, and that it's still in beta. Try placing the USB version on the HDD/flashdrive

The boot.dol https://code.google.com/p/nintendont-usb/source/browse/trunk/Nintendont/boot.dol
(built Mar 28 2014 19:13:55) is different from
loader.dol https://code.google.com/p/nintendont-usb/source/browse/trunk/loader/loader.dol
(built Mar 28 2014 20:25:29).

Not sure if one is r3 and the other is r4 ??

You want the top one.

Hangs on "Checking FS" .. Either my usb thumbs are bad/corrupt or FAT32 is the wrong format. Anyone else?
Had the same problem when I launched it from my 2tb. I launched it through cfg loader with NintendontUSB on my sd and it booted perfectly. Not sure what's the exact fix.

the sd version only has sound on a few games. The USB version has a lot of the sound issues fixed.

Before you pick your game click b on the back of your wiimote. Those are your Nintendont settings. Be careful because MC Emulation doesn't work on alot of games

It's not on the opening post but you can find the link around here

https://code.google.com/p/nintendont-usb/source/browse/trunk/Nintendont/boot.dol

to be safe follow these instructions

~NintendontUSB goes in usb:/root/apps/NintendontUSB
~games go in usb:/root/games/gameid/game.iso
~controller.ini goes in the root of your usb

~make sure your sd card is UNPLUGGED to avoid any problems

~your hdd goes in the TOP BACK port on the wiiU

~your HID compatible controller goes in the BOTTOM BACK port on the wiiU
