AFAIK, black screen issues are tied to Nintendont not running properly and have nothing to do with your forwarder.
Teconmoon's injector should work fine if set up properly.
There's actually a well known bug if you use the latest version of Nintendont and have any HID USB device attached (typically the wii u gamecube controller adapter but other trigger that issue as well).
It is tied to BBA being supported in the latter versions of Nintendont and messing with other HID interfaces (I don't know the technicalities, don't quote me on this, but that's what I read around the forum,). If you want to read about it, it's there :
https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/issues/712
Workarounds are :
- either unplug usb controller adapters before booting into nintendont that plug it mid game (reported to work, haven't tried it myself though)
- or simply use an older version of Nintendont.
I use this one from september 2019 (latest one reported to work properly).

Just download loader.dol and put it into your nintendont folder, then rename it to boot.dol
Needless to say you don't ever want to upgrade your Nintendont version until that issue is solved. But I have yet to see
@FIX94 address it.
If that still does not work, try booting your GC injects without a nintendont boot.dol file (or remove your sd card before launching your GC injects) and it should give you an error that boot.dol is not there. If it does that, that means it's an issue with Nintendont. If not, your injects are bad.
Made
a quick guide in its own thread. Hope that helps.
