Something important to clarify that this is not for qLaunch, it is for uLaunch, from Xortroll

He was never released anyway.

Yes we are not working with qLaunch.

Is not possible change dinamically the background or show the logo of the game above the icons.

The only functionality we have right now is showing the rectangular covers.

Another thing, about the one who said that qLaunch cannot render 3D. If it didn't, we wouldn't see the Mii in 3D when we edit it.

i did not say its impossible. but rendering 3D (esp. a lot of gamecovers vs one tiny mii) with animations is resource intensive. the switch does not have a lot of ram and most of it is available for games, not an applet (which ulaunch is).

The Wii can do it with 88MB of RAM (WiiFlow), the Xbox 360 can do it as well with 512MB (Aurora). So it absolutely should be possible, it is the same gamecover just with different textures afterall.

Yeah but it's not running the same apps in the background and it's rendering is lower quality. There are just too many things that are so different, it doesn't make sense to compare Wii and Switch imo

Possibilty to support : 256x144 to horizontal version ?
I think it would look cleaner.
It doesn't work that way as far as I know, the themes are stretching the images from 256x256 as I believe those are the icon size required by the switch ui otherwise you'll get a grey question mark, in a way it's a work around.
but it's a clever technique to achieve the desired effect

@SodaSoba
However in vertical one can put in height 422, so I think we can do the opposite as well.
I'm almost certain the images always have to be 256x256 for the module Sam made to work I'm unsure if that's a limit from Nintendo Sam or atmosphere, the icons are also size limited to about 128kb too.
For the icon size of 256x114 to correctly work a theme would need to be made that squashes down the game icon to that image ratio from 256x256 so you would need to make icons 256x144 resize them to 256x256.
Which is probably possible but I'm unsure how they would turn out.

Hi Guys.

Days ago was uploaded this Project on github:

Is not mine, but you can follow those steps if you want to create themes like this:

He recently did an update. I barely find out about this, so I don't know what's new.
