Thats an assumption scalibility can be interpreted in many ways. This can mean that it can become more powerful when docked but it doesnt exclude the possibility of extra horsepower.

There is no way the dock could fit an extra processor in there.

You forget how tiny these processors are. it could quite easily fit another gpu and cooling from the back.

I doubt it, but I can see the dock having some power for TV processing, so all the power on the console can go for the games, but that is it.

And you forget how stupid that would be. The hotswitching that was seen in the trailer would be very difficult to figure out with 2 processors.

Hot swapping isnt hard. Its quite fast when using an egpu. Ive done a lot of research in this and tried it out myself.

With my own laptop through a thunderbolt cable and a dock to place a 750ti for laptop gaming.
edit: Look into egpus on laptops and see how easy this is.

It won't have a CPU, but it could handle light post-processing effects on the low end and potentially hot-change between a more powerful GPU on the high end

Yes, actually. Look up Thunderbolt GPU docks. It does crash the game when removing the GPU but the system stays stable, and with the right SDK to build games you could theoretically make it so games immediately switch to the integrated tablet SoC when removed from the dock

NVIDIA has not reported on making a GPU for Nintendo. All they have said is that they are making a CPU for them.
