Hot swapping isnt hard. Its quite fast when using an egpu. Ive done a lot of research in this and tried it out myself.

With my own laptop through a thunderbolt cable and a dock to place a 750ti for laptop gaming.
edit: Look into egpus on laptops and see how easy this is.

And you could just take the GPU out and in while gaming? I do not believe that.
Yes, actually. Look up Thunderbolt GPU docks. It does crash the game when removing the GPU but the system stays stable, and with the right SDK to build games you could theoretically make it so games immediately switch to the integrated tablet SoC when removed from the dock
