Hi,

I got a Nintendo Switch, which was only sometimes working in the dock and sometimes it didn't work.

So I replaced the USB-C Connector. This did not help and made it even worse: there was no output in the dock(before it worked sometimes).

Then, after a few reboots I heared some buzzing on the mainboard when the screen was on and after a few seconds, the Switch stopped turning on.

It's chargin with .4A but it's not turning on and not showing the charging icon.

I found a short here:

I already replaced the chip beneath that part, but the short is still there.

No chip=no short.

What else can I check?

Hi, that is inductor and is continuous or short on this normal. Maybe start with diode measurement on the port pins to see if all OK
